Back hurt like hell all last night and this morning but it's much better right now. I'm actually pretty tempted to go hit the gym tonight for my jog.

Upper back is wrecked today from those kroc rows! This is probably my favorite exercise of the moment. My arms and back are really feeling it! Cheers to Pete and George for introducing me.

My weight is up 12 lbs from Saturday morning. Definitely had Subway for lunch and a huge pizza for dinner and post workout yesterday, so that makes sense.

I suspect I will back to normal weight in two days. Then, the push to -50 resumes.

Back is still pretty sore. Only exercise I've been getting has been hoops.

This weekend I have to get things rolling again. Going to lift saturday but not doing any sort of heavy spine intensive pulling.

    Back in the game today.

Back was hurting pretty bad after deadlifts but nothing unmanageable.

    Single leg deadlift:
3x5 per leg @ 135 - This is very challenging balance wise.

    Kroc Rows:
3x10 per arm @ 90 lbs - This was pretty good. I don't typically use straps, this is the only exercise I do so I'm still getting used to them.

    Hoops:
Shot pretty poorly during a shoot around. At one point missed 12 straight free throws.

    1 on 1:
A little punk challenged me. I was letting him win for a bit then he started talking smack. I used my 4-5" advantage and probably 60-70 lbs weight advantage to score 10 straight points and win the game

Man, I feel bad for those Purdue fans. Their team is so banged up right now. I don't think they're going to win a game in the tourny. Such a shame too, as they're very, very talented when healthy in my opinion

jogging training is about to really start to suck balls.

Crazy legs is in 6 weeks. Looking to increase my jogging frequency to 4 days a week from three, adding one minute on longevity to each jog. We'll see. I'll for sure stop doing this if I start getting wicked shin splits. We shall see.

I'm not looking to jog fast or anything for the race. Just to finish it. Here's hoping fatboy remains injury free through training and can participate!

I really like my lifting schedule right now, but it's quite obvious I will have to make a change to it to accommodate the additional jogging.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday are my jogging days.

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday are my lifting days.

Here's hoping I continue to avoid injury and keep dropping fat like crazy.

Feelin g8 got some hoops and jogging tonight! (I believe it's jogging or yogging. it might be a soft j. I'm not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.)

No treadmills were open so I played some 4 on 4 then some hustle.

My heart rate was pretty much maxed out for both activities, so by the time I went to a treadmill about 30 min later I was completely and utterly gassed.

Moral of the story? Treadmill first, then hoops, if hoops at all before the race. Both of my big toes are a little chaffed from fat boy running and jumping so agressively on them lately.

Casual hoops at lunch will remain. Intense hoops will resume in 6 weeks after this race. Too bad, I enjoy bball much more than running and playing the past few weeks has been super fun.

I'm getting the madness. Buzz Williams is a damn good coach and has the ridiculously tiny Marquette team overachieving. Bo Ryan is the best coach in college basketball and his team is playing awesome right now.

    Let's go Red!!!

    Today:

    Flat Bench:
1x4, 1x5 @ 205 - First set wasn't great. I had a much stronger second set. I attribute it to grip position. Middle finger over notch seems like a power position for me.

    Narrow Grip:
    2x5 @ 180 - These were pretty tough

    Incline Bench:
    2x5 @ 170 - These were pretty easy.

I'm out of food outside of vegetables, so I whipped up some fresh pico de gallo. I don't have anything to eat it with so I'm eating it with a spoon.

    Yes. Just salsa.

    Today:

    27 min on the treadmill.

    mmmm salsa

Gotta take care of some stuff tonight for the girlfriend's folks. Hopefully I can wrap up by niner and hit the gymski.

Going to do squats but at a light weight for lots of reps. Scurred of hurting the back.

Squats hurt badly at the bottom so I went with leg press like a mad man.

    5x10 @ 405.
Some glute ham raises. Working on muscle activation and slowly declining.

So hungry right now. Breakfast is only 8 hours away, which I guess is something.

Time to sleep off the hunger.

Back is still recovering. It didn't like the past few days of working out and it's all sorts of tweaked out right now.

I just did a short deadlift workout working on form. I went over it with an experienced dead lifter and we corrected a few things. My motion is far smoother and more controlled now. I also am eyes to the sky.

Hopefully this helps me avoid injury.

Did you see Purdue made it to the Sweet 16? Very big achievement for them, considering their current roster. Of course they play Duke next, but I consider this their season. :claphigh:
