Where can I get a set of bumper plates and a 6' bar for cheaper? Something like rogue hi temp plates. Not looking for olympic plates. Also, how much would a good mat cost, a 4'x8' or something of that size?

You'd get Rogue from Rogue. I've seen Dick's Sporting Goods doing a knock-off version, but I can't say as I've tried them. Another option is Craigslist and places like Play it Again Sports. Pendlay was running a set sale recently, but they're more expensive to begin with.

A cheap(er) flooring option might be rubber stall mats. Try Tractor Supply or the like.
