Too much strong man talk
How many curls can you do with a 15lb dumbbell?!
Hmmmm. As a thrower, what is the upper body work? I would figure shot put could make use of a heavy rowing and pressing. Some throwers are big on overhead squats.
Something to think about which might sound weird at first, but based on what you say you have access to: how about heavy dumbell step-ups with press? I was doing some overhead step-ups yesterday and I found that made the weight hit my arms a whole lot more than say, overhead squats or lunges. If you added to that dynamic resistance the press, you would probably get a pretty high multiple of the resistance in the early part of the lift.
Bench and rowing, explosive shoulder work, lots of core work. Power cleans are the main lift though, along with power curls(they're cheat curls). I will probably not be throwing, though >.>. BBL goin' to lift again.
My mom thinks I'm on steroids.
If she really does think that though, just tell her that non-use can be proved with simple blood work at an early yearly doctor's appointment.
She does, she also thinks creatine is super dangerous, lol.
If you were on steroids, you'd be considered a miserable failure.
Tell your mom that one too.
I told her if I was on steroids I would probably be 220-230 @ 8% by now.
Maybe not quite, but you would be a fair bit bigger. I've been reading up on anabolic cycles for the sake of knowledge. There are a lot of ways to do a bad cycle. I'm very impressed with people who manage to lift in the 275 and 308 classes, anabolics or not.
In your avatar, it looks like you have 1 thick strand of armpit hair
Are you saying I don't? Them's fightin' words.
Anyways I've been lifting for four years, so I think 220-230 is fairly in the range for what I would be on anabolics.
Perhaps. But you'd also have your height frozen at 14 years old. Calcifies the growth plates too.
Hey D is this your current journal?
Nope, I havn't been keeping one recently, I'm going to wait until classes begin and I hear back from the track team on whether I get to walk on or not before I create a new one. If I do make the track team though it should be a good resource on speed training .
OK well I came across this tip I wanted to pass on. I see you got it in the other thread.
