Hi, I'm a 16 year old teenager, and I stumbled upon this site to ask a few questions. I have a good athletic build, no weight issues; however I do suffer from asthma. I decided sometime last week to begin running 3 miles everyday of the week, except Sunday for a rest day. (Today is Day 5). Will doing this get me in the shape I want to be in? On a side note, will it make me faster as well? I run track for my school. (The 100m and 200m)
    Thanks! :tu:

You don't say what type of shape you want to be in.

As for speed, the more your cardio ability increases the faster you'll naturally be able to run for a given distance, but if you want to focus on speed look into specific protocols which emphasize that such as programs that include interval training and sprints.
