I don't get up early -- I just usually stay up all night and do my work then....and sleep during the day. It is much quieter and easy to work at night ... plus, I am very much a night person in general. I couldn't stand getting up at 8am and going to bed around midnight.

You workin' out at 4:30? Sometimes I stay *up* that late!! I'm considering some new goals for my 2nd 30 days (tomorrow marks my original 30 day goal period!!!) and I've considered trying to get up early enough to hit up the gym for daily morning cardio, but we'll see...

i cant sleep past it for some reason, its been my sleeping routine for years (aside from if i happen to go out to the bar, but even then im up by 6) i like working out in quiet, and then i relax and surf the internet before i get the kids up and start the day. if i get up any later than the sun, my whole day feels like a rush and its shot

O, I thought it was an actual CHOICE rather than a habit if you can call it that.

I personally could not function with so little sleep (6hrs 50min). I must get at least 8 hours and at least one night a week (usually weekends) I get 10 hours. I also might have a 30min nap during the day.

I'm the same way. If I slept for only 4 hours or so every night, my body would literally collapse. Especially when I train hard, my body NEEDS all the rest it can get... usually 7-8 hours (in the LEAST). I don't know how people can do it! I sure can't!

My Sleep routine varies over the course of a year. Most of the year I get up around 5:30 and hit the gym in the mornings. This necessitates I get to bed no later than 10:30 pm if I want to function the next day. Although in the winter/colder months I usually stay up until 12 or 1 and get up around 8 and hit the gym in the evening. I call that my "hibernation" sleep routine...its just so hard to get up and out the door in the winter when it is 10 degrees outside. Towards the end of February I will start getting up early again...maybe sooner, I have actually been getting the itch to get my workout done in the morning again because my days and evenings have been so packed with other things lately...

    4:30 am though? Whew!

I dunno, they say you need less sleep as you get older....maybe it's true? Mind you, I sleep in on Saturdays and get an extra hour or so. Today sucked though cause I beat my "usual" wakeup time....I looked over at the clock and it said 4 am..... I thought...."great now what?" So I laid there, closed my eyes and apparantly snuck a dream in there (since I remember it fairly vividly and boy it was a weird one) and then boom....awake at 4:53 am.

Mind you I'm usually gone about a minute after I hit the pillow (I sleep pretty deep too)

I think 8 hours is an average and will vary for people anywhere between 6 and 10 hours (or something like that). :)

Since i have school- im up at 6:20am.
Buuut in general i wake up anywhere from 7:30am-10:15am.
It's never really specific- i just never know what to do with myself if im up too early.
Now im sure id go to the gym if im that bored and cant sleep more.

I usually go to bed around 2-4 am and get up at 7am...
I get home from work at 6:30-7pm... relax... eat... workout...start working on my own projects... maybe watch some TV to wind down after working... sleep... rinse and repeat.

If I wasn't trying to start my own business I'd probably sleep more.
