A little surprising this isn't already in existence...I mean, who doesn't want to pull a six-pack?

Anyway, I am putting this up as I continue trying to resurrect myself.

Anyone else want to strive for this milestone?

    Rules:
    - no rack pulls
    - no machine shenanigans
    - put 6 plates on a bar and pull it to lockout from the floor

    Deadlift
    bar x 10 x 1 set
    95 x 10 x 1 set
    135 x 8 x 1set
    165 x 8 x 1 set
    135 x 8 x 1 set

I expect this to go up pretty quickly at first....
This is going to be my first real effort toward weight and volume since destroying my knee....and today was a sort of "feel out" session.

    Today is back day.
All going well I should get time to try out some singles and see how it goes. Just need to be a little more prepared for it than my barbell squat attempts and resist the urge to play in the snow all day.

Did my normal cable rows followed by wide grip pullups but then dropped the standard plan and went for the deadlift max.

    200 lb * 3 felt confident
    250 lb * 3 confident at getting to 315
300 lb * 1 difficult but a little gas still in the tank
329 lb Failed to get it off the ground. Wishing I had the plates to aim at 315 exactly
329 lb * 1 Not Pretty, Not Clean, but legal.

Job done, shame I dont have olympic weights to officially do the "6 plates on a bar" but I think they would make it a slight bit easier by lifting the bar up a bit. Can I be in the club anyway ?

    Absolutely....

Pulling 329 off the ground is pulling 329 off the ground...

Edit: The only reason I made "rules" was to keep people from doing rack pulls on a smith machine...just looking for people to do "real" deadlifts...load up a bar and pull it up off the ground.

Gonna join in on this one although I currently don't have the necessary plates to reach 315. Got a standard bar only and fully loaded with every plate I own will be 129.5Kg/284.9lbs. Hope the bar will take it. I think this will be a great target for me. If I get that, or if the bar can't take it, it will be time to get myself an Olympic bar and plates.

Anyway, currently doing a Starting Strength program.

    Yesterday 102kg/224.4lb 3X5

    106kg/233.2lb 3X5

    250lb coming up fast

Just realised something has gone wrong. Deadlift twice in three days should not have happened on Starting Strength if I didn't lift three days in a row. Odd!

Just saw this thread. Pulled 315 a month or two back. PR is 325 at the moment, though haven't pulled for max in a while.

Heading for 405 ;-) Might take a year/lifetime, who knows.

New PR. Got the reps without trouble although could feel it on the hands. All being well should pass 250lbs early next week which is a good milestone.
