300lb Barbell Squat club.

    I joined the club tonight, got 300 x 2 up.

    Previous max was 285 x 1

    :tucool:

    I also think I could get up quite a bit more, but my knee just cant take it yet. Might invest in a knee brace.

    Like I said though, I think I could probably get 325-330 up now if my knee could handle it. Getting it off the bar and moving with it is no problem. My left knee also has no problem with putting it up. Just the right one feels a little strained. So I don't want to push it.

    Had 4 unexpected days off.

    Hit 12x260#.

    Like the deadlift, I'm progressing with 10 lbs more each week. I'd have done more today, but my knee was giving my problems.

    I nailed 275x5x3 last week, but I'm pretty sure I pulled a glute on the way back up. Technically, I think I may be in because I should've been able to 1RM max 300+ with sets across like that, but I'm not certain. I'll leave that for y'all to decide.

    Either way, I'm off heavy squats for about two weeks I think. When I ripped that muscle in my shoulder it set me back too far, I'm not going to risk it.

    Hit 270# yesterday.

    Slowly by surely I'm getting there.

    I think I'm going to have to find/start the 400 lb squat club soon enough. And quite a few members here are going to be joining me in getting there. :tu:

    I will join your 400lb squat club (I don't think anyone has made one yet), I can do 315lb x 5 reps ATG on barbell squats.

    Alright....I'm done here, and onto 400 lbs.

    Did 6x300# today.

    Good luck to everyone else. You'll find me in the 400# club from now on.

    Hit 2 x 265 last week, before the food poisoning hit. Hopefully a week off didn't kill me too bad.

    In for the challenge. I maxed 275# several months ago and haven't maxed since. I may be closer than I think. My goal is actually 315# by my b-day Sept. 28th.

    Hm, I remember not being able to join this club the first time I saw it. I'm about to move onto the 400 club, so I figured I'd join this one first. My 1RM last time I checked was 365, but it's definitely higher now. I'd say 10+ reps of 300.

    This is a goal of mine at the moment. Today I did 250x5,5,4 and my 1rm is apparently now 284. Might take a while to get there still. I don't think I'm gonna try the 300x1 attempt until I get to 265x5.

    Well, today I managed 5x266. According to the 1rm calculators my 1rm is 301lbs now. I'm not sure how accurate that is. I might try a few singles on Saturday after the heavy triple I do.

    OK. I finally was able to get a good enough workout in to post today....

    My spinal erector rehab has been crawling along, but I think that they are good enough to put me back in the 300lb squat hunt again... I am not really close to where I was yet, but I'm hoping to get there over the next couple of months.

    My previous bests were:
    - 1RM at 285
    - 5x5 at 225

    Today's workout:
    Squats
    BW x 15
    45 x 10
    95 x 10
    135 x 8
    185 x 6
    205 x 5
    225 x 5
    205 x 5
    185 x 8

    Just hit a new squat 1RM ~ 250lbs. :D

    50 lbs away from a 300lb squat, but by the time I get there, that's going to be about a 2xBW squat :eek:

    Soon enough :evil:
