    Get it-and thanks!

I've been really slacking off lately, so your post challenged me to get back after it. Good luck pressing 225, and gonna plan how to get back into the gym and do this!

I've been over and under and over and under too many times to count.
My most recent excuse was raising two kids for the last five years with minimal consistent training.

So I started again about 4 weeks ago. I'm at 205. Goal 255 which would be a modest strength standard for me at 160-165#. Never made it there in the past.

My deads and squats are embarassing, though.

Heavy lat work seems to help me.

Hit 205 with some left in the tank last week. Heaving bench set tomorrow and will push for a new max likely next week sometime. 225 is very close and hopefully a speedbump.

Need help on the 1 million pushup thread

Hey, anyone and everyone who does push-ups, even just a few warming up, care to sign up and help out on the 1 Million Push-up thread? Only has a few guys on it at a time, and we'll never even get to a quarter million at this rate.

    Thanks!

Getting closer :) I just got 192 in a meet yesterday (so, it was even a pause bench)... Obviously I'm excited to hit 200... That is about 50lbs added to my bench in a year. I'm hopeful to hit 225 before the end of the year :)

Nice! The pause rep is *super* hard....it knocks a good 20% off my max...

    BB Bench
    95 lbs x 10 reps
    135 x 8
    185 x 3
    205 x 5, 5, 5

I know I can single 225 now....I just haven't dedicated a session to maxing out yet. I am thinking my 1 rep max is right around 245.

Nothing to add to this thread (I won't be benching 225 any time soon) other than to note the new, simpler notation. Works well.
