that's pretty good at that cadence.

My Floor Press was 195 this week. I'm not sure what is more difficult the FP or the BP. If they are the same then I should be benching 225 in about 6 weeks. Can't wait!

While it differs from person to person, I generally found that floor press was either slightly harder or about the same as your bench press.

It took a little while but I got 225# 2x on Tuesday. So I guess I get to move on to the next weight challenge now! :D

I confirmed yesterday that I can definitely do 225lbs. Which makes me mad, because back in June I could do 250lbs. Hopefully I'll be back up to that mark before too long, but as of now 225lbs will have to do. Good luck to everyone else!

    Related question.
what's the percentage of equivalent weight I can BP to the one I do on the smith m/c.
For example If i can do 200pds on smith, roughly how much should I be able to do on regular BP. I'm thinking 90% of weight or 180 in this case.

Never officially joined this challange, hit 225 (Olympic bar + 2 x 20kg plates either side) for one rep today :D

Im on a cut atm, weighting in between 194-198lbs and am shooting for a 180lbs finish, hoping to still be able to single rep 225 then.

Will update over the duration of the cut.. :tu:

Coming off the deadlift PR, I'm attempting a bench PR tonight. I have no idea, I've been doing 3x8x175 so with proper warmup a 225 isn't out of the realm of possibility.

Dang, not even close. Got 205 up twice and fizzled. I was able to lower 225 under control, but couldn't get it more than 2" off the chest. I think I held it up too long before starting the decent or did too big a warm up. Curse my freakishly long arms.

did 215x2 on monday... so !@#$ing close!

did 225x5 on decline already though. i'm thinking that "225 Barbell Bench Club" implies flat bench, no?

Managed 205 x 2. Hoping to get up to at least my body weight! Pity that seems to be a target moving rapdily away at the moment.
