200 rep body weight barbell squat challenge aka INTO HELL AND BACK!!

    i only do this every 4 months or so as its a Killer !!

    let me warn you ..10 x 20 is hard....start light ...and also u may need to get a lift home if you drive to the gym ...as more than likely you will be crawling rather than walking out!!:lol:.....and get that PWO food supplies ready..

    I am travelling for the next 6 weeks so will likely not be anywhere near a squatrack the whole time - I feel I owe it to the gym - I think I'm the only person who squats there! Fortunately the gym is in my building - but if the elevator is out - 8 floors could take a while! I've been doing 15 minutes of squats the past few weeks - 120kg x c. 65 reps with an upper body superset but 200 is a long, long way from 65! Hmmmm....you've scared me into dropping that weight to 80kg - we'll see. Will report back.

    Notes /after thoughts

    1. Very happy to have got this under my belt.
    2. This was not at all planned i went in tonight to do some LISS cardio work but the squat rack was empty so i somehow ended up there!!
    3. In hindsight was bit silly to attempt this as i am very glycogen depleted At the moment as for the last 6 days i have been only taking in 50 g of carbs daiys most of which has come from from the 2lbs of brocolli that i have been eating daily. the rest of my 2300 cals has been exclusivey beef/cod/tuna/salmon/chicken/eggs/cheese/double cream /olive oil.
    4. i was suprised at how well i got this as the last time i was
    mentally and physically busted...dont get me wrong this was not easy But after the workout i could still walk !!:lol:...and i felt like i had more sets left in me .

    5.i was hitting slightly below parrallel without a struggle on the last few reps of each set
    6.nice full body pump achieved from squatting!!
    7.will see how the Doms hit me over the next few days
    8.Now off to :eat::eat::eat: lots of delicious carbs then :sleep::sleep:
