Wednesday I went to do my leg day after biking 20 miles. It was horrible and after 2 sets of light back squats and 3 sets of lunges, I gave up and went home.

Yesterday my knees were feeling pretty good after my tennis league match (2 hours), so I went and tried leg day again. It went well. I did my normal 4 exercises, 3 sets a piece, all heavy compound moves.

Then, I went on the elliptical for 45 min.

I saw my weight go from 211 to 228 after the last challenge. It was all water weight I'm sure, but hot damn, still nuts!!

This morning I was 213, but I suspect I'll drop down to 210-209 tonight. I've kept it very low calories since Wed after partying Sat - Tues. I'm back in the zone and as long as I stay healthy I don't foresee any issues. Time to keep kicking ass and taking names.

I want to see 200 in 3 weeks. It's a bit ambitious, but I'm willing to take on the challenge.

    Weigh in today: 203 lbs
    Weekly change: -1 lbs
    Total change: -1 lbs

the holiday weekend messed me up. only worked out 2 days so far(going tonight for #3), but i kicked butt in the gym. getting enough sleep has become an issue this week. i'm only getting about 6 1/2 hours each night the last 4 nights and i'm dragging today.

got my Omron bf analyzer. got it set up(athletic mode baby!) and then realized that my scale was set to normal. switched that. it took off about 5% pts from it was reading a couple of minutes before. the only problem now is that there 4% difference between the 2 devices with the Omron having the lower %. i'm not sure to do. i may just do an average of the 2. i don't know.

    let's continue kicking ass!!!

Feelin' confident right now. Last week I saw my weight jump from 211.5 to 228 after the holiday weekend and a massive Thai lunch with some coworkers.

Fought that down all week. Right around 211.5 right now with strong momentum.

Holiday weekend followed by vacation had me up to 195 (3.5 lb gain) but I'm sure alot of it is water. I'll be weighing myself tomorrow AM and we shall see... Not a good start but I'm assuring myself of a strong finish to the challenge.

I am in! A day late and a dollar short as always!

My starting weight will be posted on Friday. Well I suppose I could go back to my weigh on July 1st. Let me look at my logs and I will post back later.

Well, I hit a small plateau this week. I ate WAY too much salt the last couple of days and felt a little bloated before the weigh-in, so I am using that as my excuse.

This is the 3rd time I have failed to drop weight from one week to the next, since I started this odyssey 4 months ago, at 211 pounds. In the prior 2 instances, I dropped 6 and 4 pounds, respectively, in the 2 weeks that followed. Of course, my bf% was WELL north of 25% when I started, versus ~19% now. Improvements are harder to come by. Probably need to get a little more scientific with my diet, going forward.

That's pretty damn good, actually! Remember that in order to lose 20 pounds in 9 weeks, you need to drop about 2.3 pounds each week... well... guess what? You are on track, buddy!

    Nice work! :tu:

    Now it's my turn:

Weigh in for today: 238.0 lbs
    Weekly change: -3.8 lbs
    Total change: -6.2 lbs

Christ! I can't slow this thing down. It seems like no matter how many calories I add, I just keep losing 3 pounds every week. Not that I'm complaining too much, but if I can't slow down I'll end up vanishing sometime around January 23rd, 2013. :ohnoes:

Haven't weighed myself lately but feeling lean. I have had a lot of time out of the gym this week which is a bummer:

    Monday -
    16 miles bike ride
    HIIT for 40 min

    Tuesday -
    2 hour tennis match

    Wed -
Didn't exercise, had a very busy day

    Thur -
2 hour tennis match, walked a mile, ran a 5k.

    Fri -
    TBD, but probably finally lifting!!!

190.4 today. Down 1 lb from the start of this challenge but down 4.6 from the 195 I was last Friday at the end of my vacation. Back on the right track.

Well, I can tell I'm bloated and I'm lower than I started, so I would guess I've lost 3-4 lbs so far.

    Wednesday, 07/20/2011:

    Weekly weight: 182 pounds
    Weekly delta: +1 pounds
    Challenge total: Unchanged

Gained a pound this week. First time that has happened since June 15th.

Truth is, though, the mirror and the Myotape tell me things are headed in the right direction. I have resumed weight training within the last few wekks, after an 18-month hiatus. My guess is that I am adding some muscle mass and at least partially offsetting any fat loss.

Still, I do expect the scale to move in my direction again, soon.

Probably won't drop 20 lbs in the next 6 weeks, though, but I will keep trying.

Weighed in a 206 tonight after cardio. Seems low. At any rate, 14 lbs away.

I have to get locked in so I can get this done.

Here's a summary of recent and upcoming fitness related activities.

Saturday: Lifted chest in the moring

Sunday: Walked 3 or 4 miles in the heat for a scavenger hunt called the Milwaukee challenge. Took it easy for the most part.

    Monday: Nothing

Tuesday: 2 hours tennis in the heat

Today: 3 mile bike ride, blew a flat! Crap!
Leg night tonight (12 intense sets)
    Basketball for 30 min

    Tomorrow:
    Tennis
    Chest lifting
    HIIT cardio

    Friday:
    Bike ride
    Back lifting
    HIIT cardio

    Saturday:
    Waterpark!!

    That's the plan!
