Anyone from the UK with good food idea's for a busy/lazy transformer?

Default Anyone from the UK with good food idea's for a busy/lazy transformer?

While there's a ton of good info on message boards for food idea's, a lot of them involve either a lot of preparation, something i've never enjoyed or wanted to do, or they've been specific american products that it's impossable to get here.

Anyone in the UK got some tips for good easy to eat products? I know processed food is usually a bit hit and miss.

Not so much looking for ready meals as just something i can take to work and eat or whatever, i really don't need a lot of variety in my diet, if something tastes ok, i'll happlily eat it every day

I drink a lot of water and skimmed milk, tuna straight from a can is great but i'm still looking for something to put with it. Natural yougart is pure evil, baked beans or spaggetti really don't taste good lol, fruit yogart is ok, tastes very strange but that's what i'm at right now, mix half a 200g tub with the tin of tuna and have the rest after.
Tubs of cottage cheese are ok.
i've tried some quorn stuff which is pretty good and nice and simple.

Any other idea's of something i can just go buy and eat?

Sorry for sounding so lazy hehe, unfortunatly, i am! i can set my mind to something like a fitness routine, and to only eating healthy, but to actually getting out of bed early and preparing food, or to doing a meal the night before? i'd rather eat out of a tin :P

As you can imagine, there's only so much you can do with little preparation. I don't think I've found any preprocessed foods (other than health foods) that are any good for you.

When I'm feeling lazy, it's easiest for me to just throw some frozen veggies in a pot and let them boil, and put some chicken or fish on the BBQ. 10 minutes of cooking time and maybe 2 minutes of effort. Nuts are usually OK if you don't overdo it, I think. Another thing to do is make a lot of something one day that you can have on sequential days- for example, make a big salad that you can have on sequential days.

As for tuna mixers, my finace can tell you that she likes it mixed with macaroni or peas.

i'll try it with peas! I usually strugle with it being too dry, but even the new flavour in there might help it seem less dry, also i was draining it too much which didn't help.

I love chicken and do eat a lot of that, as you suggest if and when i do cook, i usually do something like chicken and pasta with sweetcorn and make enough for 2-3 days.

Again i do strugle with it being pretty dry, especially on the 2nd and 3rd day hehe. All the sauce options i've found are really pretty unhealthy, even the "super low fat ultra healthy" ones.

Unfortunatly i don't like anything remotely hot, like chilly or peppers, even peperoni is pushing it hehe, so my options for "spicing things up" with out the spice is kinda limited.

I usually have my tuna with a little vinegar and lemon juice or mixed with a small spoonful of low fat mayo and sweetcorn.

How about a tin of chopped tomatos and wholemeal bread.

It's a shame you don't like chillis as they're known for their metabolism increasing properties.

for something quick, I usually chop a little onion to mix with my tuna and sprinkle red wine vinegar over top Jazz's it up a bit.

I mix my tuna with hot sauce! I really don't like tuna anymore since I have been eating 3-7 a week for 2 years. I have also used pickles, ketchup, low cal salad dressing, etc anything to make it taste better. My friend mixes chick peas in. Not sure about that yet.

I also make a baked chicken breast - mix one egg with skim milk, dip chicken in then dip chicken in bread crumb mix. Sprinkle on Emeril's bam seasoning. Bake in oven on 400 on a baking sheet with olive oil. Flip once and eat with a green vegetable or on top of salad with olive oil and vinegar.

I also make trukey chille since it will last about 3-4 days depending on how much you make. Lots of protein too!

For snacks I eat nuts or sunflower seeds. Sometimes a Met-Rx or Detour bar if my calories are too low for the day.

I love basalmic vinegar with my chicken. It's about 10 calories per tablespoon, and I love the taste

1 can of tuna
1 can of crushed tomatoes
1 onion
garlic
pasta

Just roughly slice the onion and sweat it off with some olivoil in a pan, then add the tuna and tomatoes straight from the can let it cook for a minute or two with some dryed basil or any spices you like.

serve with some pasta.

Very good and easy meal with good fat,carbs and protein.
