Arrow Official JSF Merchandise - YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED!

It's been a while since we've talked about this subject. The last time it was discussed seriously, I decided that it was not something I wanted to deal with. Well, the web site and the forums have grown significantly since then. Hardly a day goes by anymore without a least one person emailing me asking about JSF t-shirts and the like. At this point, I've all but decided to start selling JSF merchandise and clothing.

So, what I'd really to hear is what would YOU like to see for sale? What would you buy? The sky's the limit - feel free to name just about anything you can think of that can be branded with the JSF logo: t-shirts, tank tops, mugs, baseball caps, magnets, bumper stickers, mousepads, boxers, sweatshirts & whatever else you can dream up. If you want it, I want to know what it is!

Also, I'd like to hear your design ideas. The logo and "JSF" or "johnstonefitness.com" are obvious, but I'd like to know what you'd like to see. Nothing too cheesy (for example, no pictures of me. I want to keep these products attractive ).

Feel free to bring up anything you like along these lines. I want your input! Thanks.

I'm very excited to hear you're selling merchandise!

One more thing to add to your list might be shaker bottles...I really need a new one and I've thought before about how a JSF shaker is what I really want (rahter than the GNC logo on mine)...even if you just "fooled" me and put a JSF bumper sticker on another shaker, that'd be cool too...

My other suggestions are to keep it simple and include lots of options.
A few different logos might be a good idea, some with website others without...my guess here is that you're doing this more for this community (since lots of us desire merchandise) than for the sake of advertising, so thats something to keep in mind as well.

Once again, VERY excited to hear of the merchandise and I'll be following this thread to see what new developments there might be!

I like shirts, tanks, polo shirts, pullovers, mugs, bumper stickers, and mouse pads ... these are a lot of what I have at my own CafePress shop (trying out the shirts now to see how well the print holds up).

Cool ... I look forward to see whatcha come out with!

I love your list and agree with what LemonSong added. One thing I would love to have is some JSF or johnstonefitness.com golf balls. I noticed there seem to be a number of golfers on the forums and I would really love to show off that golf ball on a course. I really want a tank top. I will be 49 on the 20th and have never worn a tank top in my life. It has nothing to do with being overweight, because I am not, but not having the body for one as is evident from the pictures posted on my journal. I also would buy a baseball cap. By next summer I plan on going outside in shorts and sandals and a baseball cap will show where I got the body I will have by than.

I most definitely like the idea of having a few items with just the logo (no mention of the URL). That way I feel like I am supporting the community without being a walking billboard (plus the logo is sweet). Just my dos centavos.

I really agree. I don't like having URLs on my shirts. It makes me feel nerdy. (What, me in denial? )

If the shirt had just the logo, I'd probably buy a shirt.

Any wearable items (t-shirts, jerseys, pullovers, tank tops) in multiple color schemes and the option of using only the logo.

Training related gear--> squat belt, gloves, protein shaker bottle, water bottle, towel

i would buy towels, tank tops/t-shirts and water bottles.
I wouldn't be too keen on white clothing tho, black or blue with the logo seems better to me.

I agree with others who've mentioned keeping the logo design simple on clothing.

Also, I would definitely go for a cool black baseball cap with the (simple) logo in the front. I need a new workout hat!

whatever you decide, dont use cafe press as they barely give you any profit. its much more economical to find a local screenprinter or even one on the internet that will do decent volume for you for VERY cheap.

good luck john!

I always thought a cool shirt would have the JSF logo on one side and STONER on the other.

I'd like to put in a vote for shorts or sweat pants. I'd buy a shirt, but honestly I've got shirts galore, but am low on shorts and sweat pants.

But I'd definitely buy a shirt ... maybe several.

gotta have sleeveless t-shirts (tank tops are a bit to "meat-heady")

also maybe think of some funny sayings to put on a few shirts, i know bodybuilding.com has some good funny saysings, same with t-shirthell(well they are all funny....or evil, but popular none the less!)

a cup or mug would be good, but it would have to be big because we all drink tons of water

oh yeah johnstone tupperware/lunch boxes would be great! so we can all take our healthy meals to work/school with pride!

I know I would sport JSF stuff in a second. I would love to see sweatshirts (hoodies), t-shirts (preferably tight fitting), etc... I think something that would be humorous but be great.... like this quote I saw on here in someones sig

"When you a balla like me you can't just have any old wannabe playa wit a pen and paper rolling up on yo azz. 'dat's why I roll wit my JSF crew." - John Stone

It would definately be a great way to get the word about this site out which would mean a large increase in bandwidth over time id imagine, but more chances to sell merchandise and help folks

since i need a new hat, i would love to purchase a fitted hat with the JSF logo on the front. i think that would kick ass!

oh yeah- and sleeveless t-shirts and "tight-fitting" sleevless shirts would be cool too; you know we all gotta represent our pipes with the JSF logo..
