There's always a way to do it. Most of all, results help you want to improve. But you have to enjoy yourself while you exercise. You could go biking, listen to music, run on a treadmill while watching the news- the key is to do something that you know you'll stick with. For me, the hard part was stopping at the gym every day after work, so I slowly built a home gym. Now I don't have the excuse that I need to get home before 7 or 8.
AFAIK, biking is less strenuous than running, but it all depends on how you do it. Biking up a steep hill is probably equivalent to jogging around the block once. Whatever you do decide to do, it's up to you how hard or easy to make it.
