Default Night Sweats During Cutting Phase

This is probably a stupid question but I'm 3 weeks into my cutting phase and I have began to sweat alot more, especially at night during sleep. The last three nights I've woke up with the sheets soaked from sweating. The odd thing is that it's cooling off quite a bit here and has been getting down to around 60-65 degrees at night in our house. The same thing happened to me a year ago (again during cold weather) when I did my first cutting phase. Our house is not hot at all so I don't think temperature has anything to do with it at all.

Has anyone else experienced this during a cutting phase?

Do you think it's attributed to increased metabolism "aka the fat burning furnace being kicked up"?..................Ta2d

I can't profess to be an expert, but I would definitely say it's your metabolism kicking in. Though the common example given is breaking out into a sweat after a decent sized meal. If this continues to be a problem I would, of course, go and see a physician.

I always run hot.. My wife is cold and I'm sleeping out of the covers..
But I don't have Hot Sweats unless I've ate something that kicks my metabolic rate up.. spicy food does it.

No, I am not using a "Fatburner" or any stumulants. Currenly my dietary intake consists of high protein, low fat whole foods, Whey Protien (post workout), Casien Protien (1 hour before bed), Flax Oil and Multi-vitamins. That's it. The only change that I've made recently was to my cardio which is that I upped my cardio intake from 30 min/4 days per week to 45 min/6 days per week..............Ta2d

I had night sweats occasionally during my 1st 4 weeks. I have not had any I can remember in the last 6 weeks.
I thought I might be getting sick or something but I felt fine. I did not think about it again until I just read your post.

I don't want to be a pesimist but would like to remind you that nightsweats are often symptoms to many illnesses. Just keep that in mind and if you have any reason to suspect you may have contracted an illness, go see a physician immediately. I'm sure you're fine though

You are right, it is at least worth doing a full net search on symptoms night sweats.

Thank you for all of the replies. Medically I think that I am fine. I just had a regular check up...bloodwork...etc., and all came back fine. I really think that it's somehow related to metabolism. I just did a search on the forum and found others who have posted on this same exact topic. They also began experiencing night sweats after starting a fat loss phase with cardio. It seems that I am not alone with this "symptom" of fitness.

Here is something few people think about WRT night sweats, have you had any change in bowel movements?

If your colon is having any problems processing food it will cause night sweats as well. I found this out the hard way. :d_frown:

It is more than likely your metabolism kicking into higher gear, but thought I would mention this as it is often overlooked.

Keep going, sounds like your body is responding well.
