Unhappy MaxOT - is it for guys only?

I have been reading about the MaxOT program, and wondering if there is a similar program out there that is a little more geared towards women. Or should I be doing the MaxOT program? I don't want to have huge muscles, but I do want to lose weight and be in great shape. My impression of the program is that it is all about building big muscles, but maybe I'm wrong on this. I've been working out for just under a year, and acheiving moderate success. I want to step things up, including changing my diet, but I'm not sure what the best way to go is. Anyone know of any sites out there that would be the equivalent of John's, but for women?

Lightbulb Women's Info

I'm not sure about MaxOT, but I'm a woman too and have been trying to put together a fitness program like John's (except adjusted for women -- and my personal goals).

Perhaps we could get a women's forum on here?

I've started tracking everything I eat, in an Excel sheet like John's, except I added Calcium to the list, since I wanted to see if I was getting enough of it (or if I should change to a higher-calcium-content multivitamin.)

In the process, I've found a couple of good sites that you might find helpful:

http://www.bmi-calculator.net
http://bodybuilding.com/fun/women.htm
http://www.strongwomen.com/
http://www.womenfitness.net/
http://www.dietitian.com/ibw/ibw.html

I'm still trying to get a good for-women calculator for calorie/nutrient intake. That last link I've used, but I don't think it's so good. Anyone else have resources for women?

My wife is doing MAX-OT with me. Obviously she doesn't use as much weight as I do but she still goes to failure.

Building muscle isn't gender specific. The routine works for everyone.
