Default Cottage Cheese

So I tried some of this non-fat cottage cheese... I nearly hurled! What can I add to it to make it somewhat tolerable. I tried ground cinnamon but the taste is still fairly bland and the texture gives me the willies!

I can't believe this is the first time in 38 years I've tried it. The stuff was always in the fridge when I was kid. Maybe it was the same container since its so awful or do folks actually like it?

Wow, I must have a high tolerance to a lot of foods. I love non-fat cottage cheese, and Tuna (which a lot of people have complained about). I normally don't add anything, so sorry I am no help there.
You can try the Bodybuilding Pancakes listed here to try to incorporate cottage cheese into your diet.
Any other ideas out there??

Jerry

Pepper. Try a little black pepper. Then a little more if you need it

Also, putting it -in- something might help, rather than taking it straight.

Mix in some splenda and cinnamon. Makes it taste more like a dessert than cottage cheese.

I like to use (light) blueberry jelly and crunched crispbread (http://www.wasa.com/products/product...rod=delikatess) mixed together - 100g cottage cheese, 20g blueberry jelly and one crunched cripbread. Really nice small evening meal

Alright then, thanks for all the tips. I think I'll try combining it with something to make a meal. Do you think it would make a decent replacement for fat free mayo w/ my tuna?

You can also try mixing your cottage cheese with a fruit yogurt.
Protein and carbs in one easy container.

I go 1 cup cottage cheese w 1/2 cup lemon fat free yogurt.
very tasty

I put some ground blackpepper, fresh chopped chives and strips of low fat ham or chicken.

I eat this straight or with crispbreads. With a low-fat day scraping you through on the meat, you can get a really good hit of protein
