Looks like she has got some competition. Somebody posted a link about another woman who has the same ridiculous goal.
Of all the things to strive for....

Is it coincidence that both these stories appear in the same newspaper?
Looking at just the breakfast and I put on 2kg........all that stuff in one day, how many hours a day does she spend eating?
hey Mastover....looks like you have cpmpetition for the "all you can buffet" title.

Outside of the dressing this sounds okay. I'd use beefstake or similar tomatoes. Leave out the bacon bits. Kind of funny she eats a salad with all the other crap.

I could eat all of that no prob, George. However, I am extremely lactose intolerant, and having 2 cups sour cream with 8 scoops vanilla ice cream would have me giving birth to triplets within 2 hours. LOL.

It's almost criminal to give someone with this kind of "goal", if you can call it that, any attention at all. Undoubtedly, some other low-foreheaded twit will be inspired to beat the record holder.

I don't think it is all that strange.
Once upon a time, I worked for a company were a employee thought if she intentionally made herself uber fat, she could stop working and collect disability the rest of her life due to her weight.
I don't know if my former co-worker ended up on disability due to being morbidly obese or not. Last time I heard anything about her, she was pregnant with her 4th "mistake".

I wasn't aware that any of the Simpsons characters worked in a factory making light fixtures or they lived 20 minutes from my house, but I suppose anything is possible...

People really shouldn't be allowed to do this. Not only are they causing themselves long term damage but surely these people have families and dependents...this isnt fair on them either.

Disgusting, both the practicalities of eating that much crap and the idea behind the whole show.

Yeah, but how can you stop them? You really can't. If a person is determined to do something stupid, not much you can do about it.

But then there is no personal responsibility when it comes to their own healthcare...ok I'll stop before this becomes political and John Stone cracks the whip on skinny old me

"The unemployed mother - who cannot work because of her weight"
Why not? There are jobs out there of working from home on the computer if one tries to find it. I'm sure there are other jobs in an office that she can do as well.
This kinda upsets me the same way that I get upset at this lady I see riding in a motorized chair with her friends that actually NEED the motorized chairs all over town, yet at our country fair she was walking just fine. In fact, I see the lady bicycle and walk quite often, then you see her riding in the chair...

Honestly? I wouldn't hire her just for what she has the potential to do to a company's insurance premiums, and for the eventual attendance problems which will happen.
I speak from experience. My last admin assistant was a very nice, but very obese woman. She was amazed that I'd eliminated my asthma (and numerous other health problems) through diet and exercise alone. Despite my constant prodding, she never tried that solution herself. She was ill quite often, and she actually wondered why she suffered from heartburn, asthma, allergies, high blood pressure and T2 diabetes - but she ate out for lunch almost every single day of the week and had to weigh every bit of 300-lbs. She had doctor appointments at least twice a month, if not more often. I know people don't want to hear this, but an obese person doesn't make for the best employee... certainly not in all cases, but often enough that I won't hire someone like that again.

After reading this I do see that you make valid points. Unfortunately as you saw with your assistant, people will do nothing to help themselves, nor do they realize that to be healthy is a lot cheaper than having to go to the doctors over every little thing that is wrong.
The lady in the article is on a path of self destruction. In my opinion I don't think she will make it to the age of 42 (her assessment of when she will be the heaviest woman in the world), and at that point her sons are going to be up a creek with no paddle.

That's absolutely true. And even large corporations are recognizing this. Many of them have weight loss/walking events, programs, etc... that employees can join.

The company I work for has a gym built into the facilities, with several shower\locker rooms. We also have an entire athletics group, and they seek out discounts from other companies so that we may take advantage of third party gyms.

So is this her shot at bucking for a "Reality" t.v. series?
First get the t.v. show with her as a 900lb. land sausage........then the spinoff show as she sees the error of her ways and decides to lose weight...with all the attendant blubbering, crying and heart -wrenching emotion....
Then comes the book and the talk-show circuit.
Just follow the money, folks......
