Default Looking into HTC-12 but dont understand Terminology

I am looking to go into a 3 month bulking period and thought that the HCT-12 Training program would be a cool way to change my routine. I am going through the PDF but have no idea how they calculate the 6RM. To put it simply I am not getting how to calculate the repetitions and the sets one needs to do in this program, can someone walk me over this?

Thanks in advance!!!

http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html

Assuming they aren't doing something strange 6rm is around 80% of 1RM.

If you mean that one it seems to be six sets plus warm ups.

The idea is to ramp up to your 6RM, and then rest, do two more reps, rest, do two more reps, rest, do a final two reps. Hence the '12' in the title.

I tried it for a few weeks but quickly got bored and didn't really feel/see any benefits. I'd be interested to know how others go with it.
