I'm impressed by their pricing. I just made a pretty big order on Saturday to restock some items (creatine, glutemine, vitamins) and they beat the place I ordered from online by a couple of bucks on almost everything. Very impressive! I'll give them a try the next time I purchase.

Their prices are great, but booo to this:

Sorry we are unable to ship to Canada at this time due to Customs and brokerage fee issues

If you can provide a US shipping address we will be able to ship your order there.

I avoided them like the plague after the last thread in which people were complaining about all sorts of problems. Decided to give them a try just two weeks ago when I ran out of BCAA's. Prices were great, and all of my stuff was delivered promptly. I'll definitely try them again.

I agree, their prices are great. However, they don't have the whey that I purchase, Scivation Whey-10lb, they only have it in 2 lb. I emailed them this AM, about 5am Pacific and asked if they will carry it, and still nothing....

John, Thanks for the introduction and for having us back on the John Stone Fitness site.

* twoplustwo, At the beginning we were shipping to Canada, but we encountered some issues with Customs, some products would not be allowed because of specific ingredients and this was creating inconveniences to the customer in Canada.

* sodomojo, The Scivation line we started carrying about two months ago, and we are seeing if there is a demand for this supplement line. We would probably need the next couple of months to see if we would be carrying other products from them.

Here's a suggestion:

From searching online the 10lb of Scivation Whey is going for around $67. Scivation Whey is made up of Whey Concentrate and Whey Isolate. (With Isolate being the highest quality).

We offer the Dymatize Elite Whey Protein 10lb which is a blend of Whey Isolate and Whey Concentrate for $59.95. The Elite contains more Whey Protein Isolate.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply. I usually get my 10lb Scivation Whey from bb.com for $64.99-10% coupon, so $58.49. It is the best tasting in my opinion, doesn't have the chemical aftertaste, and I've tasted so many of them. Its by far the best, and I like its profile. I am in need of some Xtend and 10lb Scivation Whey, and was hoping to try out your company. But it looks like at this point, to save on shipping I won't be able to. I'll check back on your site later to see if you have it.

Welcome, and I can see how some of the supps I buy are cheaper here.

But I was noticing that Beverly was not on your list. Will you, or have you tried before, carry their supps?

I too would be very interested in some "affordable" Beverly supps!

I am pretty loyal to ALN, but I wil say, after seeing your prices on muscle milk and Scivation, you will have my business as well. Great variety also.

Well, in general, just look at the ingredients of any protein powder and it will tell the story. Beverly uses quality ingredients as do others such as ALN's Nitrean, Biotest's Metabolic Drive, and CytoSport's Muscle Milk. Those are my recommended protein powders. You don't want a protein powder that's dishing out a bunch of "pixie dust".

ATTN: Mass Nutrition - Can you list products by category on the website? I've run searches but it's not the same. It would be useful to click on "Vitamins" and see all the different vitamin products, "Protein Powder" for all powders, etc....

Chadster,

We are in the process of a major update, which will make it easier to find anything you are looking for. In the meantime if there is something in particular that you are looking for let me know and I will post here.

Thanks,
Mass

Hi Mass,

I also wanted to give you some constructive feedback on your website. I am pleased you are looking at a major update.

As someone who is very new to the whole supplement world I found your website very hard to even know where to start. If you were not an official sponsor of John's website (with his and the communities trust) I would have looked at your website for a minute or so and moved on.

All I see is a great big long list of manufacturers with their medical and pseudo-medical terms and jargon. The short description offered for each product is too short for me to much sense of what the product is actually for which means I need to dig into the product detail. The full description is a great long page of text and that takes a fair bit of time to read. I could spend many hours reading your website and still not find what I need or am looking for.

Like Chadster I would love the categories to be by type. I do not care, even slightly, who made the product.

As a newbie in this world a simple split offering supplements by use would help me greatly.

For example:

Bulking
Cutting
Pre-workout
Post-workout
General health
Protein (whey, goat, etc.)
etc.

An area where people can leave feedback (moderated or not) about a product would be very valuable for someone evaluating if they should buy or even consume the product.

Articles explaining what supplements you should use to achieve aims like cutting and bulking. To cut or to loose fat you need the following items: x, y, z. Have these articles as guides with user feedback and comments at the bottom. That way they could be improved over time. It will also give you great customer loyalty and feedback and give your site a vastly more friendly and helpful persona.

One major problem with supplements when a newbie is buying them is what works with which other supplement. I have no idea if product 1 and product 2 are going to complement each other or make me ill when combined. Will I end up with too much potassium in my diet or am I going to be taking a bulking and cutting supplement at the same time? A peer reviewed article or guide explaining what to use and when to use it would help with this hugely. In my opinion this will help your sales process and conversion rates rather dramatically. I am sure suitable disclaimers for your liability in giving advice, comment or opinion can easily be created.

Just my rambling thoughts on a Saturday afternoon while I cool down from my workout. I do not aim to be critical or offensive so please do not take my comments as such.

Have a great day!

So, I am new to protein powders and have only been using what I can find at Walmart for the past 2 months. The prices at MN look great, but the variety of offerings is quite overwhelming for a noob such as myself.

What protein supplement would everyone recommend (outside of what I see that Pete already recommended)? I'm sure that what I'd get here is of higher quality than WMT.

Does it make a difference if I am cutting or bulking as to what's recommended? (I'm cutting if it does)

While I'm at it... are there any other supplements that anyone would recommend?

cr74,

Thank you very much for your comments and input. That is exactly what the major update will be bringing. At this point, everything is about "You" the customer, it's about helping you find exactly what you are looking for and that's what we are working on.

If you have any questions, let us know.

Thanks,
Mass
