Default Best 4 minutes of my life!

I have been visiting JSF and the forums for about a year now. It has always amazed me what a little motivation and dedication can do for a person's physique and overall wellness. So, I decided now was the time to get serious and start participating!

I have always enjoyed running. I usually run the 3 mile loop around the neighborhood in about 30 minutes. Nothing fancy but it works for me. I would be winded but not dead.

But this morning I started HIIT. I started with the 4 minute HIIT in the link (http://www.musclemedia.com/training/hiit.asp) posted by gravityhomer in the JSF glossary. Before even starting I was ready to skip to right to the 5 minutes. I guess in the back of my mind I thought it was going to be easy.

Man, was I wrong!

Those 4 minutes were rough! I don't know if it was the 90 degree heat or what, but I felt like I had just worked out for an hour. It was awesome!

Anyway, thank you John for the awesome site and everyone for the great posts. I'm really looking forward to making a change in myself and getting up into those 10+ minute HIITs!

Doing another 10 tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear it! I love HIIT as well. I use it in my strongman training too. Just a bit heavier though.
