Default Your Top Ten List.....

You've just been captured by aliens from the planet Nordo.

They take you there...and they put you in a gym. They want to study you. They will let you eat anything you like but...

Out of all the exercises ever heard of you are allowed to select 10. Once selected you must stick with these exes until they release you which could be months or years.

Which 10 are you going to pick? (They want to see results BTW).

Assuming you mean just weight lifting exercises excluding running and stuff...

Deadlift
Squat
Push Press
Dips
Bench Press
Clean and Jerk
Pull-ups
Rows
Snatch (I don't really know how to do these but I feel like I should learn.)
Lunges

Fairly standard stuff I guess. Not sure if I should pick lunges or good mornings or possibly front squats though....

Interesting scenario though, I like the way you posed this question...

Box Squats
Bulgarian Split-squats
Romanian Deadlifts
Snatch (probably power and/or hang)
Bench
Close-grip Bench
Row
Hammer-grip Chin-ups
Lateral Raises
Rear-delt Fly

It should be noted that I'm horrible at a lot of these and I downright loathe some of them. Training them for a few years would probably yield "results."

An interesting contrast between the lists with Oly lifts, power lifts and other compound exercises versus the one HIT based list with primarily machines training muscles in isolation. There is almost zero commonality between the two categories.

We were restricted to 10 and they wanted to see results. So I focused or isolated some muscles (6) and generalized the bigger muscles (4) if I had my 12 chances I usually take, it would have been 6/6.

Notice also I picked specific machines that I knew produced results on some choices. HIT was born by machines, so it is appropriate that they get a good share.
