Consequences of Bad Diet

Default Consequences of Bad Diet

This is what I know to be the consequences of various contents of a diet. Please correct me if I'm wrong or add anything that is vital.

Too little protein = loss of muscle mass
Too much protein = turns into fat? excreted from body? harms kidneys.

Too little carbohydrates = lack of energy?
Too much carbohydrates = turns to fat

Too little fat = body burns muscle for fuel
Too much fat = fat gets stored

My plan is to maintain good macros but yesterday I think I had something like 60% protein 20% fat 20% carbohydrates so it made me think. What would happen if I went a week (or maintained a diet) on 70% protein 10% fat and 20% carbohydrates. It seems to me that it would not be harmful, but what I know is relatively a mere pittance to this forum. Educate me. Thanks guys!

My lifting day macro usually comes up about 45/35/15 or 50/30/20 (that's p/c/f). My cardio-only or rest day macro usually comes up about 60/20/20. I've lived on these macros for nearly three years now, and have yet to see ill effect from it. According to blood work I had done at my annual checkup last fall, I'm 100% healthy, excellent kidney/liver function, RHR around 48 BPM, and normally my blood pressure is in the 100/60 range, even on a bad day. My T levels was 750.

I don't think a diet high in protein is bad for you at all, considering that at least half my diet over three years has been protein intake.

However, you have to try these macros out for yourself. My wife, to contrast, does not enjoy high-protein/low-carb dieting and it makes her feel groggy and tired - yet it's a diet I can live on in perpetuum. We're all different. See what works for you, what makes you feel the best, and what produces results. It's a trial and error game that you've got to play for yourself. Keep good records as they're paramount later on, when you'll need to evaluate what you've been doing.
