Default LAte night Suggestions

Ok, with my company I have to keep weird hours. I wake up around 10am-12pm and I end up going to sleep around 5am. My question is, is it ok for me to drink water all night while sitting at a computer?

When is it ever not ok to drink water? The only reason not to drink water too close to bedtime is so you dont have to get up to pee in the middle of the night. It's certainly not bad for you.

A good habit to get into. I once foolishly downed a jug of water before going to bed

I must've had to get up 6-8 times to go to the bathroom

Another question, my wife and kids shouldn't have to change there eating habits because of me. But I am so tired of eating Eggs, I have been eating 5 - 7 Scrambled eggs with all the yoke gone but 1 about 3 - 5 times a night. Are there any suggestions that are real easy to pick up at wal-mart or an Albertsons? And I have read alot of the posts here, but I would like some suggestions from ppl that actually shop at a wal mart or albertsons. I have eggs, oatmeal and peanut butter. But, some easy suggested meals would be great. How are the lean cuisine meals? Are they a viable source of what you need? The food in them seems kind of sketchy.

Wait, so you are eating eggs 3-5 times per night? No wonder you're sick of eggs. Read the fat loss stickeys. Lots of good foods to eat there. Try making a big batch of chicken breasts, brown rice, veggies, etc that will last for a week. Then take your meals with you to work. Stay away from lean cuisine type meals. Period.

Well, I work from home and I hardly have time to stop and cook anything. I barely get to work out for 1 hour on my bowflex. I get maybe 5 - 6 hours a night of sleep. It's rough being a business owner.

You can take an hour or two on the weekends and cook and portion out enough meals to cover you through the week, so that when you need to eat you just go to the fridge and pull out something to stick into the microwave.

You can do it if you really want to. All of us have to figure out ways to make staying fit work with our lives.

I also have my own business, and work from home most of the time.

I like to grill up a bunch of chicken breasts when I have time and keep them in the fridge. I also make a bunch of rice, then portion everything out into little plastic containers. Then it's a simple matter to just reheat in the microwave along with a side of veggies.

Another quick food is a can of tuna, mix with lemon juice, tabasco sauce, ground pepper, chopped onions, bell peppers etc., and a bit of ranch dressing. Take a large bowl, throw some lettuce in there, toss the tuna on top, add a little more dressing and a couple raisins, awesome salad in 10 minutes.

Thanks for all the information, I greatly appreciate it. Someone mentioned rice, regular rice or brown rice?

Brown rice is your friend. Try to stay away from the bleached breads, rice and grains. I used to think I would never eat wheat bread or brown rice but now I look at it totally the opposite.

Although this is not a meal replacement suggestion, keep a jar of nuts handy for those last minute cravings. I personally like almonds and they are a great source of protein which kills hunger pretty well. Ideally, if you can structure your eating, you can end your day with a quick snack of a 1/4 cup and get to bed without feeling hungry.

I think that if you're battling hunger every day before bed it is only a matter of time before you give in and eat something worse. You really have to ask yourself "is the way I am eating something I can maintain for the rest of my life?" Case in point is the eggs, you're already hitting the wall there. So read the stickies and diversify your meals and you should do well.
