Smile Been lurking for months now wanted to say Hi!

This forum has been so much help I've used it for all my research on equipment and got the last few pieces over the holidays.

I'm super excited to not have to go to the gym any longer that extra 40mins driving really cut into my motivation to go when I was tired.

I chose a BH T8 Treadmill, a Powertec Power Rack with Lat attachment, Olympic bar with 300lb weight set and a toning ball. I'm still working on my daily workout but I've been getting comfortable with the equipment for the past two weeks.

My short therm goal is to loose 40lbs by my 30th birthday which is the end of April. More to the point my long term goal is to get into a comfortable shape that I can maintain and a more healthy lifestyle that I can take into my 30's and beyond.

Thanks

Simon

What kind of work do you do with the treadmill?

Good idea to buy one, IMO.

The possiblities are endless in regards to the different kinds of exercises you can do.

At the moment I use it for a 10min warm up combined with stretching before I lift. I get 95% of my cardio at this time of the year from it other than when I take my dog out for a run when the weather isn't as cold. I really like high incline intervals it's hard to cheat when you might get tossed off the back.

With the rack I'm doing this at the moment.
Day One Upper Body ( Chest, Back, shoulders, Arms)
Day Two Cardio 40mins and Core.
Day Three Lower Body
Day Four Cardio 40 Mins and Core.
Day Five Upper Body
Day Six Cardio 40 mins and Core.

I'm only doing two exercises per muscle group at the moment keeping it light focusing on high repetition. I guess the weight will come with time.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
