Here is a shot from the 8 week breathing squat routine. Honestly, I cannot see a whole lot of difference but I do know that my clothes are fitting looser and I have gained a lot of strength.

And this is a comparison shot from day one

A pretty rocky first day on SGX.

I am missing some calories in my diet and this made me a bit cranky today I nursed my mid afternoon meal and tried to make it last as long as I could Once I got home I had my pre workout meal and headed for the gym. The place was an absolute madhouse! Luckily I had an opportunity to grab one of the squat racks and I claimed it for the duration of my workout. Back and Traps were the targets. It feels like I have something under my arms, lol. I am trying to ween myself away from the lifting hooks (for now) and by the third set of my deadlifts my grip was pretty much toast. The shrugs were the same way, 3 sets was all I could muster. I am going to be one sore mo'fo tomorrow I think that once I get into a groove and find my niche I will be fine. Now if I can get used to the caloric deficit... Patience is my virtue

Got to go as I need my required amount of rest. 430am will be here very soon!

I am the opposite, I have upped my calories just a little and I had a hard time choking down my pre workout *****

Doc, just great great progress. You've really shown what can be achieved when one is determined. Do you have a target weight goal?

Thanks man!

Well I thought I had a weight goal but things have changed. Since I want muscular definition by the first day of Summer I will need to lose a few more pounds of fat. I was assured by Mr. Janusz that it won't take much more in order to achieve my goal. Also, I am sure that on his program I will gain some lean mass so that will help as well. I am going to be pretty skinny but all that is subject to change in the fall as I will begin a winter time bulk.

I am still alive! SGX is taking the little bit of extra time I had during the day and I am finding it difficult to jump on to update my journal.
I am following SC's plan to the T and every thing is running smoothly. I am enjoying my day of from weight training and getting rested up for tomorrow's leg day. I hear the workout is no joke! Tomorrow I will be hitting the iron with a vengeance!

As I approach my first week while on SGX I wanted to give you all a summary of my experience. The training and eating methods while on this program have been a very big eye opener for me. In order to achieve my goals I frequent the gym 2 times per day now. Cardio in the AM and weight training in the PM. I am doing a lot more cardio now then I was before. I actually enjoy it so I have no complaints about it. This past weeks weight training sessions were a bit sketchy. I am performing many new exercises that required me to test my ability with variable weight amounts. Now that I "think" I have my weight amounts dialed in, the following sessions will become a lot smoother. Pacing myself during each weight training session is going to be critical for completion of each rep, set and exercise because volume is the name of the game on SGX

Although I cannot comment on my specific nutrition plan, I can say however, that it would have taken me a LONG time to figure out the necessary information needed to accomplish what I wanted in a reasonable amount of time. SC has clearly displayed great knowledge and expertise and tailored a plan that is perfectly suited for me.

More to come so stay tuned

SGX week 2 has officially begun.
My diet has been spot on. I have been consuming my meals as prescribed and meal timing is like clockwork. I have faithfully performed my cardio as well as weight training sessions as instructed by SC. I know you all will just simply laugh at what I am about to say but I will say it anyway... I can tell a difference already! I have no idea what my weight is today as I didn't step on the scale. I will weigh in next Monday and submit pictures as well as a brief summary my overall progress to SwoleCat for his review. Today, I have been blessed with DOMS in my triceps, biceps and shoulders...Chest and back tomorrow

Have a great week everyone!

Nice going Doc and I wish you continued success. And, for the record, I'm not laughing at your statement and do believe that you can see some changes after only two weeks. Keep up the great work; you're an excellent example of what someone with a lot of dedication and knowledge can accomplish.

I had a crappy workout last night.

I left the gym disappointed and wished that I could do my workout all over again. Most of my exercises were performed in good form yet I felt that I could have used a bit more weight on each one. The weight area wasn't busy so I had every opportunity to give 110%. To make things worse, I think I over did it on the shrugs. My left trap is killing me and I can hardly turn my head

Today is a new day and I am moving on. I got my cardio in this morning and chest and abs will be trained this evening. I will ensure that my focus is on the task at hand.

That's the attitude for success. Unfortunately crappy days happen; the key is to not let them derail you. And I'm sure that it won't. Kick ass today!

You're welcome and I really was sure that it was just an aberration. I'm glad to read that you're back on track. Honestly, I was just writing what I believe and as fate would have it I have an opportunity to put that outlook into practice as my run today sucked. I finished and was glad for that, but it came none too soon. I can't wait to hit the gym tomorrow and get a good workout in.

Week 2 on SGX is complete. I have made great progress with SwoleCats program. For the past 2 weeks I have faithfully followed his instructions and the results speak for themselves. I've posted some progress photos in my private SGX journal so feel free to visit and take a look. Tomorrow I will be sending Chris 2 week pictures and an update containing a brief summary of my experience over the past 14 days. What really motivates me is the fact that progress can bee seen in such a short period. I can't imagine what I will look like at the end of 90 days

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Thanks pcdebb! Good luck with your journey! I am sure you will do great. Start a journal to keep track of your progress and allow others to see how you are doing. Six months from now you will be able to reflect on all the hard work

Week 3 of SGX is quickly coming to an end. Last night was my first cheat meal while on the program. My GF and I went to a restaurant featured on the Food Networks Diners, Drive-ins and dives. Iron Barley is a small hole in the wall restaurant in a sketchy part of Saint Louis. It is so small that if you blink you will miss it We had a great meal and afterwards we visited a local audio shop for a listening session. The Sound Room in St. Louis has recently been authorized to sell McIntosh audio and video equipment. I know there are some audio here so I hope I dont bore everyone...

Here is a shot of one of the listening rooms. The XR27 Line Arrays are being driven by the MC2301 tube amps. A MT10 serves as a vinyl source, there is a 750gig music server (MS750), a MDA 1000 DAC for sound tweaks and a C2300 tube preamp. Total cost (not including cables or interconnects) $85,000.00

The other listening room was a HT/Audio combo. C1000 tube preamp, MX120 Home Theater Processor, VP1000 Video processor (SD/HD scaler, converts to 1080p), MS750 music server, Bowers & Wilkins 802D's driven with the MC1.2KW monoblock amps, center channel was either a 2D or 3S (not sure). Cost? I dont know, I didnt ask.

Had a great time. By the way, they had a one day only 10% off sale yesterday for any item bought...lol

Hope you enjoy the pics. :veryhapp:

This evening was leg day I did the duck-walk back to the car afterwards and I am recovering as I type My legs are going to be HUGE after SGX...lol

Have a great weekend everyone!
