Deadlift

135x5
175x5
205x5
225x3
255x3
320x3 *

* 1x185x17

Today's sets were a little different. First of I did the 320x3, I was expecting 4 but I'll take it After that I added another set at a ligher weight and tried to do 15 to 20 reps. My lower back felt tight after all my other exercises. Good day.

Nice! I'm doing deads 3rd in my lifting program.

5x5 back squats
5x5 BP
1x5 Deads

I had to drop to 275 to get all 5 in (exhaustion) after 3 weeks, I'm doing 305, and I'm shooting for 1 x 5 x 315 on Saturday. I'm thinking my max is probably around 375-390 if I hit them first.

Guys, I have a question, perhaps you can help me out.

I'm up to 285 lbs on 5x5, and I feel I could potentially go higher; what kind of 1 rep max would this correlate to?

Most of the calculators I know of are based on a single set of 1-10 reps. I'm figuring maybe you guys can tell me about where I should fall, consider you all have probably hit this range previously.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you can estimate your 1-RM based off that. I would guestimate you could probably do 350# or more but I think the best thing to try would be to just do a 1-1-1-1-1-1 day and max it out and find out for sure.

Right after I pulled 375 up to my thighs and just couldn't lock it out. dkslfjksdkfaslkdsdlkfs. I was enraged. Oh well, the 355 was pretty sweet for me. I'll take it for sure.

Thanks guys, it took me a while to get there but I stopped doing conventional deads for a couple of months. No regrets though I think the Oly lifts helped me.

Pulled 350 on Thanksgiving! It was either 3x6 or 4x6, can't remember without looking at the log.

alright i'm going for this one. i STILL haven't made the 225 squat club. i'll be damned if i don't make one of these Fin clubs by next summer.

current 1rm = 315.

35 lbs to go. i'll try to make as much progress as i can before i start to cut in february.

Deadlift compliments squats...

And vice versa.

I didn't do much deadlifting over the summer and focused on getting my squat up to the six pack...and nice "side effect" of all the squatting was that my deadlift shot from 350 to over 400 in only a couple deadlift sessions.

When you are hitting a 350 deadlift, I can almost guarantee that your squat will exceed 225 (with decent mechanics)

This pursuit of the 350, by the way, makes you one of the most women here...

......

Good luck Deja!

amen to that. with a huge focus on squats lately my deadlifts went up. i'm hoping to get to the 350 by getting my squat up above 225. we'll see how it goes. i'm definitely built for dling over sqing.
