New cell phone-suggs?
Hey all.
I'm looking to buy a new cell phone with a different carrier than what I currently have.
I'm with Sprint and my reception here is horrible.
I own a Restaurant/Catering business so I would like the new phone to be flexible as to keep in touch with my contacts via e-mail etc...
I do some corporate stuff and one company I cater to is replacing the old Blackberry's with the Blackjacks.
I like the Blackberry Pearl. I also like the Curve...although it may be on the larger side.
Anyone have insight on these?
All said, I'm pretty sure I don't want an I phone.
Thanks,
T

Get the one Verizon offers that's water proof/shock resistant. A great bar trick, I've heard, is when you dunk it into a pitcher of water and have people call it. Great way to get a woman's number

Though I will back up the verizon as a carrier. At least for me they have been by far the best carrier I have dealt with and I get amazing coverage. I've gone through the gambit (sprint, cingular, AT&T) and like verizon the best.
Don't know much about their PDA though, so can't help there.

Where are you located? Depending on where you are will determine better service or trade offs between different carriers. Like in Chicago T-Mobile is by far the best bang for the buck and unlike some places Tmobile coverage in the midwest is excellent. Now if you travel internationally you have to go with a GSM carrier like Tmobile or AT&T, Sprint and Verizon isnt supported in most places internationally. US Cellular is also excellent in the midwest as well they also have coverage in the subways however they kinda have crappy phones. Verizon probably has the best coverage no doubt nationwide just that they are very pricey. AT&T is ok here in Chicago but I heard they are excellent in the west coast. A lot of people I know went with the Blackberry pearl or BlackJack. I don't like the BlackJack I think the keys are too small and the phone is a little ugly I do like the blackberry pearl a lot better seems easier to use too. I strayed away from a smart phone only because I got sick of short battery life and unnecessary features like an MP3 player so I have a cheap Nokia phone that I charge every 4 days.
