Default *pic of sore* Now, this hurt!! Is this a pimple/boil?

Last week I noticed an irritating bump on my right shoulder. It was the start of a simple pimple, or at least I thought! The thing kept getting bigger and bigger and was starting to really get irritating. Well, finally, it came to a head. I squeezed and about thumbnail sized amount of that nasty white matter came out of two holes. It was NASTY!!! I had two crater holes in the middle of this sore where all that crap came out and was very tender to the touch. Skin started to peel from the top of it which made it even more tender! I have never had a pimple get this big or look like this. Actually, when I played football back in highschool, I used to get a few pimples like this, but none that ever got this big. This thing was the size of a quarter and swelled up to about the size of a medium sized jelly bean.

If you look closely, it almost looks like a "bite" of some sort, like fang marks, but it's not..lol. The first pic is taken a week after I first noticed it and directly after I "POPPED IT". The second pic was today, about 4 days later which it's noticeably starting to heal.......FINALLY!! This thing has been with me for almost 2 weeks!!

On a side note, those will be some bomb ass delts when I'm through with them!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is a bite of some sort - maybe a spider?
how far apart are they?
it also looks like it might be getting infected (first pic), so you might want to get it looked at professionaly.

I know it looks like a bite, but it's not. It started out just like a normal pimple and just kept growing. I think two pimples got fused together somehow..lol! It doesn't hurt anymore, so no need to go see a doc. It definitely was infected by the amount of redness and soreness I experienced, but I just kept peroxide and alcohol on it along with my excessive personal hygeinic daily showers. I hate doctor's and have to be drug in by my hair to see one anyway.

It has dried up so i guess it's okay. Leave it alone, don't peel the skin off or you will have scars.

Those do not look like pimples..pimples do not turn into black spots! Two pimples right next to each other do not make your skin peel either...I wonder what that is?

Those black spots is dried blood.....scabs. That's where that white/pus matter came out. If you have ever popped a pimple and had it bleed out of the opening afterwards. Well, this did the same thing, but it left some big holes where the pus came out which was nasty. I tried to keep disinfectants on it, but I think I started adding them too late, after it was already infected.

I dunno. I does look like a bite of some sort, but it acted just like a SUPER HUGE pimple. It started small, grew, came to a head, I popped it, it got really sore, and now it's healing.

Be very careful.

I had a pimple earlier this year, that turned into a 'boil' on my forearm. I was paranoid, so went to my Doctor. I was concerned about Staph infections.

She didnt think it was, but tested anyways. That was a Friday.
By Sunday I knew I had a problem, as it was draining a lot of "puss" (yea, I know, gross).

Monday called up my doctor and it turned out I had a resistant staphy infection.
Some strong antibiotics, and the doctor cutting open my arm to drain everything, was what it took to get rid of.

But beware, something innocent could be staph.

Get it checked.

I knew a guy back in college that got bit by a Brown Recluse spider. His leg swelled up where he couldn't walk within about 4 hours. He went to the emergency room where they thought they would have to amputate. He got lucky and they didn't have to.

Ummmm, I didnt see any pics but it sounds like to me it could have been infected follicles that were clogged up by sweat and dirt and just possibly got infected and in turn developed into a cyst. The peeling skin is because as it got bigger it stretched it out so now that the area is void of the pus its an empty hole so of course you are going to have leftover peeling skin. If its still scabbed, keep cleaning it with hydrogen peroxide and then cover it with an antibiotic ointment and bandage. Leave the bandage off when you go to bed. If you dont see improvements after a week, got to you doctor or dermatologist.
