Nitrean vs. On Whey mixability
I understand the other differences between the two products, but I'd love to hear real world testimonials on the difference in mixability between the two products. I'm going to need to mix shakes daily on the go between classes with only a water fountain and shaker at my disposal, and I'm wondering if Nitrean will allow me to do this effectively w/o clumps.
I know Nitrean claims mixability is outstanding and I mean no disrespect in my questioning here, but you have to understand my skepticism of the industry, as ON Whey gave me the following gem: "ON's 100% Whey Gold Standard is instantized to mix easily and completely with just a few twirls of a spoon." That must be one badass spoon they used...
Please, do tell.
Thanks all.

Nitrean does mix well.
If you have problems mixing, get a Blender Bottle
At Large's shaker does a pretty good job, too.

To be completely honest, I have found that the strawberry mixes the best. The last batch of chocolate wasn't clumpy, but didn't dissolve very well. With a shaker, you won't get clumps with either.
If you want a highly mixable product, a pure hydrolyzed whey/dextrose product mixes like kool aid.

They both mix very well. I'd give a slight edge to Nitrean though....It mixes extremely well.
BTW, no protein powder is going to mix well with just a spoon.....I would suggest getting a shaker bottle. Hell, just use an empty gatorade bottle or something. Both powders mix very well in a shaker bottle.

Add another vote to Nitrean. I find ON Whey to be inferior in just about every category.

I would like to point out a few big differences between AtLarge and the "industry":
1) The co-owner (me) of the company posts here (and elsewhere online) regularly. You just don't get that with other companies. If any other supplement company owner were to ever claim they don't because they are too busy, I challenge ANY of them to see who works more hours per week, me or them (i.e. I MAKE the time to post online and interact with our customers).
2) We DO NOT make wild claims about our products. If we say something about our products you can take it to the bank.

My experience w/ Nitrean and ALN's free shaker:
If I put the Nitrean in first, then add water (or whatever), the nitrean doesn't fully disolve. A bunch of it kinda gets gluey at the bottom of the shaker and sticks there, no matter how hard I shake the bottle. It kinda annoyed me the first few times I did it this way.
If I put water in first, then Nitrean, it mixes perfectly.

I'm using a combination of ONs Pro Complex and Nitrean only because I ran out of Nitrean and needed a substitute. I would have to say ON dissolves better because Casein is what makes your shakes kinda thick and a little clumpy. Pro Complex has none so when I mix water and oatmeal together the oatmeal is always settled at the bottom, while nitrean i get some substance and thickness so the oatmeal is mixed all around instead of just settling to the bottom. All around though I think Nitrean tastes better, has more benefits with a blend of different proteins, and can be used for all purposes (pre-bed, morning, meal replacement, etc) as with Pro Complex it does have egg in there but it makes more sense as only a PWO shake or maybe a breakfast shake unless you add other products to it.
OH and I forgot to mention AtLargeNutrtion has unbeatable customer service.

Yep, always water first with any protein product.

nitrean vs on whey gold standard - nitrean wins tko
nitrean vs on pro complex - nitrean wins 12th round decision
nitrean vs on whey regular - nitrean wins 6th round ko
nitrean vs pro complex - pro complex clumps pretty good also.. but i do the ' press the back of the spoon up against the inside of the glass' method to dissolve it all. at least in my experiences.
in taste
nitrean vanilla for fruit smoothies
nitrean chocolate for everything else
nitrean strawberry for... oh wait i never got my sample
i'm kind of spoiled on the stuff to be honest. i hope it stays competitively priced.

I bought the Strawberry Nitrean and must say that I never have had a problem with it's mixability. The taste however, wasn't too pleasant in my opinion compared to other strawberry flavoured products. But on the plus side the taste is quite subtle so you can mix it with other things and mask it quite easily. Bananas or peanut butter work quite well. Overall, I'm happy. But I don't know if I'll order strawberry again. Just got to get through the other 2 tubs...!

I think strawberry is the best flavor we offer, but chocolate is by far the best seller.

I've really been wanting to try it too, but this stuff is only available online right? And that's not going to change anytime soon?
As it is, at 2 tubs, it would be $10 more after shipping for 1lb less than my current stuff.

Right, primarily only online. We do have a few gyms carrying our products (friends of mine mostly).
Trust me when I tell you our product is worth the $10 difference you have noted.

right, but they are really two different types of products as Nitrean contains I think 20%casein, 20%egg, 60%whey proteins. Now again, I'm not suggesting that like 10 or so grams of egg/casein proteins per serving mean anything at all in the real world in terms of body composition, but it is nonetheless a somewhat different product.
btw, thanks a ton everyone for answering my questions.

I am not sure I understand you? The casein and egg in Nitrean are what make it SUPERIOR as a protein supplement to any whey-only product. Do you understand that? If not, I can elaborate on the point.
