Forum Software Upgrade Today - Downtime! (Completed)

Jelsoft has released vBulletin v3.6.6. This is a fairly major upgrade, and fixes dozens of bugs. Because many of the templates have been changed, I'm going to have to upgrade the skins to the latest version and reply the JSF customizations manually.

I'm planning to do this work this morning, probably starting around 7:30 AM EDT. You can expect about 1-2 hours of forum downtime while the upgrades are completed and tested.

The software upgrade has been completed without issue.

All forum skins have been upgraded to the latest versions.

If you are experiencing any difficulties, please:

• Clear your browser's cache
• Do a hard refresh (Firefox:shift+ctrl+r) (IE: CTRL + F5)

John, one thing I've noticed:
The text "Main web site: www.johnstonefitness.com" no longer links to the main site.

I'm having no issues with the upgrade, but I did notice that under the search tab there is no longer an option to search new posts. Is that a feature that will no longer be available?

Thankfully that feature is still available, but Jelsoft decided to move some of the quick links to another location. It's actually a little faster to get to now. You'll find the moved links below the Google ads:

Can you or should you point the FAQ on the forum to the FAQ on the main page or the forum rules. Now it's similar to a dead link.

The only problem I've seen is that your Media Journal is reported to be up to 29 pages long, but I can only load page 28, and the last post is at 3:37 pm May 14. If I try to click page 29 it just takes me to the top of page 28. I cleared my cache and I tried to do a hard refresh but I am on a Mac so I don't know if the keyboard shortcut is the same. Sometimes mac's are a real pain.

I know from experience that shift-apple-R activates my Saft plugin for Safari's "Block HTML refreshing" "feature", which is a real pain in the ass. So don't press that, just in case

The FAQ page that link is pointing to is the same as it's always been. It's designed more for help with general forum usage, like "How to I attach an image", etc. The links are below the search box.

It's not a mac issue, several others have reported it as well. I'm not sure what happened there, but the databases all check out, and I rebuilt all the forum counters. I think after one more post it will be on page 229 for real (using the default pagination settings), and then the problem will go away. If it happens again as we approach page 230, then I'll have to dig deeper.

I've added a new style, which is available from the Style Chooser (bottom left corner). This new style is the default vB style, and is very light and plain.

A major security hole was discovered in vBulletin, requiring an emergency upgrade. This upgrade from 3.6.6 to 3.6.7 is going to be quick and painless (nothing like yesterday's upgrade), and will result in very little downtime.

I'll be bringing the forums down within the hour to patch the security hole. Again, downtime will be bery minimal. I apologize for the inconvenience.
