Default very wierd problem

Hey guys, i've posted before, thanks for the help with that. Well i'm in the middle of my third week and I ran into a few problems when trying to add two new exercizes to my plan:

overhand two arm tricep extention cable
and Lat pulldown machine

While testing out both exercizes I noticed that as I brought the cable down towards me and slowly let it go back my body was convulsing! I was literally jerking and shaking while bringing it down, i felt like it was my torso or my abs i think. It definately wasn't a good feeling, and definately wasn't normal because everyone I asked looked at me like I was crazy.

Whats my problem? please help!

thanks for reading guys

By the way, my arms and my back could easily support the weight of both exercizes, so they weren't the problem.

Because of your own personal style as well as the variations in machines, it's hard to say. Can you describe each exercise in more detail? I know what they both are, but you might be performing each differently than I do, and the machine you use might be different than mine.

For example, on Lat Pulldown are your knees underneath a pad that helps to hold down your body? Do you have your feet underneath any type of bar to hold you down on the overhead extensions? Do you bring the bar down in front or behind on the pulldowns? What does the angle of your body look like on each lift? Do you place one foot in front of the other on the extensions? Etc.

thanks so much for replying

For the lat pulldown there is a pad to hold my knees down, but my feet are free, i sit down grab the bar about shoulder length apart, overhand, lean back, arch my back a little and pull straight down towards the middle of my torso. my feet are propped on top of a small little bar on the floor at an angle.

For the tri extentions there are no pads or ropes holding me down, i just simply grab the bar overhanded, stand as straight as possible then pulldown, usually when i pulldown my head starts to push forward and i lean forward a little, but i cant seem to stop from doing that because of this stomach problem. my feet placement is simply flat both feet lined up symmetrical.

does this help?

Not sure what your problem is, but check form or change exercise. exrx.net is a good place for that.

For tricep do this:

or this:

For lats do this, grip is better:
