Default John - Question on timing of supps

John,

Based on your spreadsheets, I gather you take:

Glutamine and Fiber w/ Protein pre-workout and Glutamine, Glucosamine/Chrondroitin, and fiber w/ Protein post-workout.

Any reasoning on the timing of these (other then the protein ;-))?

The best time for my workouts is in the afternoon. Would you recommend following the same pre/post schedule for these supps? I was leaning towards the Glutamine/Fiber when I wake up and the Glutamine, Glucosamine/Chrondroitin/Fibert post-workout (about 8 hours or so after I wake up.)

Thanks.

That's correct. When I have a protein shake I always mix in some fiber and some glutamine, so that's why you always see me take those supps pre- and post-workout (which is, of course, when I drink my shakes).

If I were weight training later in the day I'd do the exact same thing, except I'd still take my Glucosamine in the morning. Ideally the Glucosamine should be taken 3 times a day, but I always forget so I take 3 in the morning.
