2.5x body weight is pretty danged impressive. I'll have to cut my weight down quite a bit to make that a real possibility.

Dave pulls nearly triple bodyweight.

This is him pulling 575 at a bodyweight of 195.

Lose 30lbs and add 200lbs to my deadlift, sounds good.

I hit 390# today without barweight, which according to my estimates puts me at 435# WITH bar weight.

445# next week.

So, on to 500# we go.

5x400#, which according to the calculator puts me at 1x460# as my 1RM.

I won't be testing it for a while though. Maybe in 5 weeks or so. I'm on a 10 week program now, so I'll probably take a break at week 5, and lift only on Wednesday to check my 1RM for the DL.

Thanks!

Yeah, it has been. I was reading through my notes yesterday, and the gains have been nothing short of insane.

Two things I noticed...

  • Diet wise, I only watched how many carbs I ate
  • Exercise wise, I went from 3x per week, to 1x per week with almost the same gains.

Did 3x420# and 3x405#.

Its getting harder and harder. Doesn't help if I'm squatting 3x a week too.

I might cut back to 400#, and just try to hit 10 reps.

According to the calculator, 10x400# would apparently give me a 1RM of 530#.

I doubt that its accurate, but 500# sounds about right. I think I'm hitting to close to my 1RM right now every Wednesday.

Cool

Hello folks! I'm on my way to 500 lbs., too, so I though I's join this thread. Yesterday, my 1RM went from 455 to 475, routine:

1 x 315
1 x 405
1 x 475
1 x 405
10 x 315

then a set of Romanians:
10 x 225

Cheers

Not a lot of activity in this thread.

Did a single beltless 405 last night, after a full tri-setted workout that included 5x5@275 and a single 365. I imagine I could have been up around 425 if I had been more fresh and with a belt. Have been cutting too. Cut should be done mid spring if I stop deviating, then I can work on strength. Hoping to hit 500 before 2011.

468lb (sumo, belt only) in competition on Sunday, and with another 15-20 in the tank I'd say. Not far to go to the big 500...

Subscribing, as this is now my main focus. Recently I've done 455x1, 405x7, and 350x16, not in the same workout. Hoping to get there by the end of the year.
