Default Funny story.

So im a relatively thin guy 73 inches 155 pounds. I dont eat overly well, but im definately skinny. So i had always assumed that this would infer that i was in decent overall shape.

So heres the funny part, i was going to do some bicycling on a stationary bike, and after 3 minutes i was extremely tired . Yes i know that is pretty funny. Im sortof disappointed by it to be honest, but lets keep it on the positive side.

I was in the same boat before I got into fitness...
(I am not much further along, but have made some progress in the cardio area )

we ectomrphs are lucky in that we can eat what we want and not gain fat
- but it doesn't mean our cardiovascular system is in shape...

I agree that we are lucky in that regard. but, i sortof feel deprived of ever being able to have real muscle, as opposed to really small muscles.

LOL - After I had my little boy (and after sitting on my butt in an office the entire time I was pregnant ) I decided to try fitness - the first time I got on a treadmill I went full force for about a minute and then got off.. - it doesn't take long to get past that....

I'm in the exact same situation. I'm 6 foot 1 and down to 153 lbs...I've dropped 7 pounds of fat...which is quite a bit when your already pretty slender....but like you said....slender does not equal cardio fitness...I lean up just a bit more before I start trying to build some muscle. I'm trying to build a solid base of stronger muscles and better cardio health before I start trying to put on more lean mass......It's already been 11 weeks and I feel I've just gotten started.....
