Default Post your grocery list (great help to n00bs like me!)

Hello All!

I'm setting some goals and starting to change my life from a fat, lazy one - to a healthy, muscle bound, low fat, pro-active one!

I think it'd be great if people post their most purchased grocery items for everyone to see!

Looking forward to the help and inspiration!

If items are already mentioned by previous poster, you could '2nd' those items, or debate, or add your own items!

Jon

Those are GREAT!

BTW, have you tried the jalapeno peanuts from Target? Their in house Archer Farms brand (or whatever it is called). Not bad, either, but not smoky like the Blue Diamond Almonds.

No I haven't tried those, but they sound interesting. I'll have to look for them next I go there. Thanks for the heads up

Note: With the exception of supplements and protein powder (yay Nitrean), essentially everything I buy is from an all natural market, which I highly advise at least in regards to meat, fish, and poultry. I'm a butcher by trade, and the stuff that's in conventional products will scare the bejeezus out of you.

Boneless skinless chicken breasts
Grass-fed ground beef (grass-fed is leaner with a higher CLA content)
Rolled oats
Brown rice
Grapefruit (helps to promote a more alkaline state)
Carrots (eat a couple of raw ones every day, yay fiber)
Flax Oil
Natural Peanut Butter
fat free organic milk
broccoli
fresh frozen whole leaf spinach
locally bottled honey
kosher salt (tastes better and you can use less to get the same saltiness)
olive oil
canola oil
apples (a pink lady apple with peanut butter is ridiculously good)
fat free yogurt

Additional Food Supplements:

Nitrean -- main protein powder for pre- and post-workout and whenever else

Hydrolyzed Whey -- Postworkout only

Milk Protein Isolate -- final meal before bed with a fat source

Lots of good posts but its pretty simple IMO. Meats, dairy, fish, veggies, fruit, oats, nuts, Natural Peanut butter, olive oil, powdered proteins etc

You need lots of protein sources, lots of veggies, some fruit, some oats and healthy fats.
