Default Why is my weight not moving??

Ok,so far its been two weeks on BFL way of eating.I do a push up/chin up workout twice a week and a ride a bike for an hour twice a week.

Two weeks ago I asked a guy I see every two weeks if I look like I lost any weight and he said nope.Of course not since that was the day I started

Well I saw him again two weeks later to the day and he says I looked like I lost my stomach and was impressed. So I headed to my pharmacy to weigh myself and lo and behold it read 203 pounds. Not a dam pound lost

Is this the muscle gain first thing i read about after which i will level off and then the fat will start to come off or am I doomed to always be fat yet with good muscle underneath?

edit-----Oh and I forgot to add I walk alot for my job 7 hours per day.I am 5ft 9 in.

2nd Edit----My pants are still a bit tight at 34 inches.Dont know how but my stomach does look smaller yet I see no change in my belt that I use everyday.

Many times initially the body will recomposition itself, adding muscle while shedding fat. In that case it's definitely possible for you to look and feel better/healthier while the scale's not moving.

I wouldn't be getting discouraged yet--it's only been two weeks. Just make sure you're eating at a calorie deficit. Also I'd definitely recommend picking up a resistance training routine (weights). The difference in results between a diet that includes weights and one that doesn't is night and day.

I can't say I have practiced anything from BFL, but my innitial quesions would be how is your diet? Do they have you on a specific eating program? How many calories do you eat per day based upon your maintenance numbers? Remember, at its most basic level with specifics put aside it comes down to calories in vs. calories out. Even eating 100% clean can effect your weight number based upon how much you take in daily.

That being said, you have not been involved in this that long. So you might be gaining muscle while loosing a little fat. Because of that your scale weight might not reflect your hard work, but your body is changing....

Stick with it, do your workouts, eat clean and eat to get in better shape. Don't worry, if you stay with what you are doing you will see results. It doesn't happen over night, but when it does it feels great!

As said before..if your exchanging muscle for fat.. then it ok at first but if it keeps it up.. It's real simple.. if you eat to much you gain...if you eat maint. level you stay the same...if you eat less then your body needs you lose.. Nothing complicated

I don't think you'd see significant muscle gain on a caloric deficit when you're not doing a real weight training routine. Push-ups/Chin-ups 2x a week is far from ideal.

You should take weekly measurements to track your progress (waist, arms, legs, etc.)

Take measurements!! Don't use the scale as your only guide as it is unreliable as a consistant measure of progress.

Also take pictures on a regular basis and hang onto them. It may seem silly now, but if you don't keep pictures you will be sorry after a few months.

Heres the thing,I look muscular with just push ups and Bike riding. My arm is 15.5 inches cold.I have naturally muscular legs that I got from yrs of HEAVY squats and they never really seemed to go away.My quads have always been big and I easily work up to the full weight on leg extension machines at gyms.

For some reason though I just dont do well with weights.I get injured all the time.I have bad joints that just cant take the weights. My feet are killing me as I type Also for some reason when I do weights I get severe insomnia. SEVERE!!!I feel thats its not my muscles that dont recover but my nervous system gets jolted way too easy.

I do get good results from weights in begining and then wham I start overtraining.I feel that pushups/pullups are enuff for me and my low recovery ability.

All that said though I have friends that only do pushup/pullups and look phenomenal.Anyone remember Marky Mark the rapper when he was doing calvin klein underwear ads....well thats the look they have.I like it and will be content but i must say that if my joints were good id hit the iron,no if ands or buts!!

About my diet.....6 meals a day

Meal 1--protein shake and a pear/apple/grapes etc
Meal 2--4oz ground turkey breast and 1/2 cup rice w/spaghetti sauce
Meal 3--same as 2
Meal postworkout---10oz pure grape juice and half protein shake
Meal 4--4oz ground turkey and a small sweet potato
Meal 5--protein drink and 10 flax caps
Meal 6--protein drink

I grind my own meats so they are super lean.If I feel weak i'll add a small sweet potato to the last two meals for one day.I also will binge one day a week.

Monday and after my binge on saturday and I look leaner again. You know its working when women you see everyday all of a sudden "notice" you
