Default I want to cry - my leg is effed!

Or at least i think it is. To be honest i don't actually know whats with it?

Was doing legs 2 days ago, so i warmed up with deadlifts then followed it by some squats. Squats were going well till the 4th rep on the 5th set -

it felt like my calf/knee went 'pop'

A bigger pop that when you crack your knees in the morning (like maybe squat and they pop for example) and it felt like it was on the outside of my calf? Almost inside the muscle from where it popped. its really perplexing.

I can walk 100% fine. heck, i even did the final rep in that set. But it just feels - off. Like ill be in the process of lying down, then somewhere in the motion itll feel tender. Not stabbing pain at all.

and massaging/probing the area doesnt affect the feeling at all. hell, i cant even trigger the feeling.

what gives? still feels the same 2 days later. I really want to lift again on it, but i feel like its impending doom if i do. so i dont think i will just yet, want a couple opinions.

Does anyone have any kind of tests i can do, stretches, etc to see if i can at least INDUCE the feeling? as it is now i cant trigger it if i try.

I've had injuries before that I tried to work through cos they felt fine, and given myself some problems that lasted much longer. If I were you I'd go see a good sports physio, the money's worth it, even if it might be nothing. Don't take the risk with your leg.

I wouldn't do anything for a few days. Just rest it and see how you feel.

Amen. If I were you I would make an appointment with an Orthopedic Doctor.

I'm sure hyoomen would have more insight than myself on this, but you might consider checking out a good massage therapist, especially one familiar with triggerpoints, deep tissue work, etc.

Just be really wary if anyone starts talking about surgery.

take it easy, but don't completely abstain from doing anything. The "use it or lose it" principle always applies.
