Are a guys looks important to the ladies or is it all about the heart?

I have been wonderring....Do girls fall in love with the guy for his heart or for his looks? In other words are looks imortant to the ladies?The reason I ask is cause I always see it, a beautiful girl with the goofiest looking guys..what's that all about? Is it more personality/heart then looks for ladies?....me personally, my baby doll is beautiful and has got a heart of gold...but personality to me makes a person so much more beautiful....anyway any responses would really be nice.

oh and please none of the usual well I would rather be with an ok looking guy who treats me right then an extremely cute guy who is a jerk.....i'm saying ladies would you be with a terrible looking guy(not just average looking) if he treated you like the world?

Speaking from a guy's point of view, I believe there has to be some level of physical attraction.

My opinion
Of course there has to be some attraction between the 2 of them, physical one.
But there's also the heart. generally speaking to a woman a man can appeal more attractive just because she loves him. So that may explain the situation you refer to.
But there are also lots of other things in a relationship: love, friendship, respect, trust and attraction.
Each case is unique however!

I'm a guy myself and agree that for us there does have to be some physical attraction but for girls it seems different...don't you think? I mean think about it...it's always hot girls with goofy looking guys...it's never hot guys with goofy looking girls....so I know guys go for looks mostly...but what about the ladies?

Sure, looks matter. What looks good to me may look horrible to you.

A person's looks are also shaped by his or her personality and character, especially as the person gets older.

If I come to dislike a person, or he treats me badly, I also do not want to look at him.

Someone that looks goofy to you may be very attractive to others.

Most of the exotic dancers I have talked to have said that it's not how a guy looks, but what's in his heart that matters. At least that's what I think they said... but come to think of it, that could have been "wallet" and not "heart." Which I guess is true... while money can't buy you love, it can buy you a reasonable substitute for an hour (tips extra).

I often wonder what I did that made god so happy for him to give me such a wonderful girlfriend....I dunno, I had never questioned it before but when I think of her it's like...god how is someone so great with a dumbass like me?.....Now i'm not saying i'm ugly or anything but seriously, when I think of her...she's just such an angel that I can't help but wonder.......well now you know why I asked

OK, I see she's with you because you're a sweetheart and a romantic. Plus, I'll bet she likes looking at you. She's a much better judge of what's attractive to her than you are, it's very subjective. And I don't know if you've noticed, but when you're in love, the object of your affections gets even more attractive.

She's a lucky lady, and it sounds like you're a lucky guy.

I think it all depends on the goofy looking guy is 8% body fat vs the good looking guy who is 13%. Then the reasons for choosing the goofy looking guy are obvious.
