I'm right on the MA / RI line in Pawtucket. If some of the members in the area wanted to get together, I'd be up for it. I'd probably suggest doing it just outside of Boston though, where roads in the city are changing daily because of the Big Dig.

I am pretty booked with finals and work these next few weeks, but I'll put you onto something that will change your life. Go just north of Boston to Revere and get some Kelly's Roast Beef right on Revere beach. It more of a fast food/sandwich place than a restaurant, but their roast beef sandwich is out of this world good. It is a local legend, mentioned in Good Will Hunting, and open to 3 so Saturday late night attracts quite the crowd. Get a large beef with:
- Lettuce
- Cheese
- Mayo
- Sauce (not sure what kinda sauce it is, its just called sauce)
- and Ketchup
Also the chicken fingers are excellent. And a friend of mine also loves Kelly's but has never had the beef - he goes just for the fish sandwiches. Kelly's is definitely a local type of place that you won't find in any tour book but is a true gem and excellent stop. It's maybe 10 minutes from downtown Boston.

Now I'm dissapointed...All the times I drove up to my friends house in Lynn (about 2 blocks from the beach) and she never mentioned Kelly's once. Now she's gone and moved to New Hampshire...I'm going to have to find good reason to take a ride back to Revere I think.

Dude, Boston?
I am THERE!
Rather,
I am HERE.
Been here about two months; finally have my life here together enough that I can resume my participation here at JSF -- obviously it will never be again as heavy as it was in my nonprofit days, but you know I love this place.
And Erik -- my old challenger!!
I live in Somerville, just north of proper Boston, on the T. I don't have a car, so I do suggest that if we do something up here, we at least do it somewhere the commuter rail goes.
Boston, HO!!!!

You are going to drive right through my town on your way. Just saying. Not asking you to pick me up or anything. Thats too far for a day trip for me. I could change my mind though.

Michael,
My place will sleep a few extra people if you were to make it up to Providence, RI. I've got a full gym at my place and there're plenty of meetings in the area.

I won't be driving anywhere. My driving priveledges have been suspended until April.

Thanx Walt, i'd love to take you up on your offer but due to my DMV status I would probably have to take a train into Boston.

Or I could pick the other Dude up in the Caddy, and stop and get the Golferboy, and we could all crash at Kino's place.
I'm already going to the OFFICIAL cheat meal, though, so it would have to be some other weekend. Just a thought...

Trains and Buses come into Providence before going on to Boston. You can't catch cooties from breathing the same air as me...
