Default Vortex's Post Workout YUMMY SHAKE!

2 cups water

5 Ice Cubes

1.5 scoops Optimum Nutrition Chocolate

1 Tablespoon Natural Peanut butter

1/2 cup cooked oatmeal. Oatmeal was previously prepared and chilled in fridge. Oatmeal was cooked while stirred vigorously to make it creamy and sweetened with Atkins syrup.

2 packs Splenda.

Put all ingredients in blender and blend on "ice crush" mode for 30seconds until all the ice is melted and drink is very cold. When finished it tastes like a mixture of Nesquick and a Blizzard.. YUM!!

Nutritional info

325 calories

Protein ~35grams

Fat ~12grams

Carbs ~20grams

I also like this as a breakfast shake since I dont make breakfast on the mornings I work.

This sounds like a great shake.

I tried Jeremy Liknes' shake he mentioned in a thread in the nutrition forum. It was fantastic!!! I thought I"d repost the recipe here for those interested!

Jeremy Liknes' Post-Workout Energy Shake

1 cup ice
1 cup water
1 banana (I used a frozen one, sliced very thin)
1/2 avacado
¼-½ cup raw sugar (not refined sugar, but the flaky, brown kind, ie Sugar-in-the-raw)

Toss in blender, blend until consistent throughout. I used ice cubes and blended them into the water first, then I blended in the bananas, then the avacado then the sugar. Next time I'll probably blend in two or three stages, ice+water, then bananas or with avacados and sugar.

Although it may sound a bit strange with teh avacado, that really makes the shake work, and damn if it's not delicious!

I made it with about a 1/3 cup of sugar and it felt too sweet to me, but damn if it wasn't a good shake. I offered about 1/3 of the whole thing to a friend, she loved it saying, "If only Jamba Juice made a shake like this!"
