Default Low Carb Pizza (my Friday special)

I make a pizza with all the works, that isn't half bad.

Start with a low carb slice of round pita bread. (80 cal)

Slobber it with tomato / pasta sauce (cheap on calories)

Separately, I fry up some onions, garlic (don't be skimpy), peppers,
and some soy hamburger crumbs (forget the brand, but they're very authentic tasting.

Throw the fry mix on top

Add fat-free mozarrella cheese

Some low-fat, low cal Hormel Turkey salami slices

Maybe some black olives...

And of course, more mozzarella cheese (fat-free mozzarella cheese is the best !!)

LOW CARB

HIGH ON PROTEIN

JUST ABOUT ZILCH ON FAT

It gets me through the weekend when cheating tempts me the most.

Sounds good.... Might just have to give this a try. Pizza is one thing that I have the hardest time resisting.

Yes, I've been making pizza every Friday night for months. Pepperoni for most of the family, veggie for me. Last night, I put onions, zuchinni, mushroom, red pepper, olives and chicken on mine. Even my husband chose that version over the pepperoni!

Down in Florida, they carry it at Publix. Most supermarkets will order in for you at no charge.

And honestly, I prefer it to whole mozarella, regardless of fat content.

Even if you use part skim mozarella, it's only about 2.5 g per serving. Not bad for a cheese.

Also, I heard about(but haven't tried) fat-free ricotta cheese.

Sounds like baked manicotti for me this weekend !

lol thats crazy. We just order our own pizza's at LAN partys. Since I like BBQ or spicey ones, and no one else does.

I would give that pizza a try, if only I could find ingrediants like that, UK supermarkets are terrible for that sort of thing.

Pizza's the hardest thing I've had to give up. I would eat an entire medium thin crust Meatlover's pizza for dinner on my cheat days. That's my favorite pizza at Pizza Hut! I can't wait for my celebratory cheat day when I reach 165: I'll eat TWO pizzas!
