Wow, what a 24 hours this has been.

A major network outage caused this site and thousands of other customers served by Progress Telecom to go down. I've barely slept over the last 24 hours. The problem was finally solved.

Sorry about the outage. I'm going to sleep now.

I went into major withdrawal, was late for a date because I compulsively checked back to get on ine like every 15 minutes, in my JSF shakes did not eat clean, did not make it to cardio this Am and became profoundly depressed.

Plus no one got to answer my speaker wire question.....

I had about a dozen IM's waiting on my screen this morning when I got up. Every one said the same basic thing: Can you get to JSF? or I haven't been able to get to JSF since yesterday.

It's nice to know JSF was missed!

I just woke up from my nap and feel a little bit better.

I started to type a big long explanation of everything that happened, but it's too painful to go over again. What an unbelievable 24 hours it was.

Bottom line: The problem should have been resolved sometime last night, but the finger pointing between the all the companies involved was absolutely ridiculous. It was pretty obvious that no one wanted to work the problem on a Friday night.

These are the times I question my desire to stay with my current profession. Some people thrive on network problems like this - heck, I used to! Not anymore.

With all the weather going on in the Gulf and Florida it's a wonder anybody stays with their profession. How the heck do you have a normal life down there, knowing you might have to pack your bags and haul out on a moments notice? It must be mighty harrowing.

Yeah, I thought John might have banned me for all of those hardcore barely legal porno images that I repeatedly kept posting in the media gallery....AND for all those posts about his mother....AND for all of those detailed posts outlining my SGX diet. But luckily, it was just a hardware problem. Whew!

I work in Telecom for a CLEC. I've been thru many of those finger pointing sessions and always dreaded the Friday night nightmare. Thankfully, I'm now in a different department and don't have to deal with other carriers.

MyFico.com was down too and THAT was a nightmare. We just paid for a 30 day subscription to our credit reports- then this... We are looking for a prorated refund or an extra day on our reports. At least you don't have thousands of paying customers screaming John!
