Default Late night snack

Ok I'm not a cook or anything but I just came up with this:

non-fat cottege cheese
Kashi GO Lean
Splenda
Atkins pancake syrup

put a little of each in a bowl mix it up, eat Protien, carbs, fiber, No guilt!

one thing though Atkins syrup is like water, it's NOT thick like real syrup even with chilled.

Any combination of

Low Fat Cottage Cheese
Vanilla Extract
Splenda
Cinnamon
Chocolate Whey
Atkins Syrup (I use log cabin 0 carb)

You can make many different flavors with these ingredients

Just Cottage Cheese, Vanilla Extract, and splenda reminds me alot of vanilla icecream.

Go crazy and use them all if you want something too sweet

kinda confused here, how much cals do u devote to a 'snack'. I would think something like 250 would be upper limits.

yeah 250 might be a bit much.

Is that Log Cabin 0 carb thick like real syrup?

But I think its slightly less watery then atkins.

Its also cheaper and comes in a bottle thats like twice as big as the atkins, thats the reason i got it. (poor college student)

I luv cottage cheese, but i have stopped eating it recently b/c 200 cals of it really doesnt fill me up. I just have a 200 cal shake. I think all that ice/water helps as well.

hi all,
i've been lurking for awhile and here goes my first post

for a late snack, i'll eat a combo of protein and good fat. i intentionally eat the fat to slow down digestion of the protein so it's released slower as i'm sleeping (lowers the GI of the food). usually i eat cottage cheese since casesin is slow digesting compared to other proteins, but other times i eat meat too. cottage cheese with a tablespoon of peanut butter sounds weird, but is tasty! sometimes i put in a little bit of cocoa powder or add splenda and nuts too.

I'm actually going to seriously limit my carb intake after 5pm, I seem to eat so much during the day even though I try not to. Oh well, at least most of it is "good" carbs like oatmeal...
