Default Tries to have a cheat...no worky

I thought I would be happy to have the first cheat meal in a month. I thought I would be scarfing down 2000 calories in yummy bad food. Instead I didn't want it...not any of it. I ate the good 'ol 8oz chicken breast, 2 cups of broccoli, and a nice evening 27 minute HIIT eliptical workout. I can now say that my outlook of life has changed!

Yeah, good job. Once you start your diet, there's really no point in cheating. We only eat "good" food for the taste, and that only lasts for a few seconds. It's better to find a healthy equivelant instead of eating the real deal. I haven't had burgers or pizza in over a year and I have no interest in ever having them again.

What really made me confused was that:

a) The bad food I thought I craved wasn't really that good at all...It just tasted...fat...

b) That the calories that came with the bad food didn't fill me up...I was still hungry a few hours later...something that NEVER happens with good quality food. My 250 ml of oatmeal for breakfast gives me 560 Kcal and makes me feel full for about 3-5 hours. A pizza contains atleast twice as many Kcal...but leaves me craving more food within a short time...

I began eating a little less before the 7th, but didn't weigh in until then. I used to eat McDonalds twice a day, and have a huge plate of good 'ol Italian pasta at about 9 pm, then I'd go to bet. Very sedentary! I now eat 5-6 times times a day, and do cardio 5 times a week. I also lift 3-5 times a week.
I calculated my caloric intake, it was around 3000-3500...yikes!!!!!!
I'm at a much better place now!
I never looked at the math of it, but yeah 22 lbs...geez, maybe this is working

When I had my own cheat day, I really couldn't do it either. I didn't really want to have one, but I was going skiing, and we were going to be eating at restaurants and such. Exam week at my school had also finished up that day, so I figured why not celebrate with a little cheat day. I think I probably ate less than I usually did, and I still felt guilty for drinking like 2-3 pops. I bought a 20 ounce of pop, and I only drank like 1/4 of it. I like how my sweet tooth is starting to stop!

It was strange, when I just started, I didn't know how I was going to cope, and I looked up all sorts of stuff on cheat meals and how I should plan them. Then, a week later, I decided I wouldn't have any unless there is an occasion where it wouldn't be possible. It is nice to know that I lost 10 lbs. in 24 days, though. I can't wait until I can start bulking! I still probably won't have any cheat meals then, with the exception of a family party or something.

Make sure you are eating enough tho, that is a lot of weight to lose in a short time, i'd hate for you to have a great new outlook then get ill due to not eating enough.

I know what you mean about the fatty foods tho, i was brought up on full fat milk, when i had semi is was watery and nasty, once i got used to it i hated full fat.
When i switched to full skimmed it was the same, tasted of nothing, watery and bland, now when i have semi it tastes fatty and thick and not nice.
It's good in a way that our bodies adapt and help us with our willpower hehe.

My caloric intake is high enough. I actually was worried myself, but after consulting a physycian, I felt better. My weightlos will slow down significantly soon. It's a big change from no exercise and 3500 calories...to a good cardio/weight program and 1900 calories a day. I am scared to think where I would be now if I travelled on the same path as before!

I just got back from my cheat meal. Granted it wasn't like eating a Value Meal from McDonald's cheat or anything, but man I felt guilty as hell. It's funny that when you're cutting that anytime you take a cheat meal it almost feels as though new fat is there immediately. :P
