How has your lifestyle changed apart from dieting/working out more?
Apart from punching new holes in my belts and moving down to buying L size t-shirts, I was wondering what else people are doing differently now that they are on a program towards better fitness.
The reason I'm asking is that I shaved off my beard yesterday. I was thinking about it, and it was just something I did to hide my second chin and to add some character to my otherwise puffy face. I still look a little puffy now, but I see my beard as a symptom of laziness, the kind of laziness that got me overweight. Now I can watch the second chin go bye-bye as I continue to lose weight!
Of course, I'm not saying facial hair is bad or anything, just my reasons were not out of style, but rather trying to hide my weight.
What have you changed?

im happier now, i can easily wake up at 5:30am without fail, and i can fall asleep at night at a normal time, not 2am or 3am like before. lets not forget the change in self confidence, etc, which helps when you are working business deals and negotiating with vendors!

More confidence, easier buying clothes, other people are asking ME on what they should do to loose weight.
I also cut back on my drinking, wash more often, and love the buzz from lifting weights.

Although only 3 weeks into changing my eating habits and going to the gym all the time, I find that I am much happier, have a better outlook on things, and have more energy. I wake up easier and don't like soda at all anymore.
Hey...I just noticed that you are in Japan and just "got" your name, Debujanai. Heh. I work in Osaka and Hiroshima every year myself. My only problems with going in the future is being able to get into a gym... most frown upon tattoos.

I definately feel better when I look in the mirror, or put on a pair of baggy pants. I don't have heel spurs anymore. I don't snore. No more acid refluxe. Now if I can just get my lower back strong enough so it doesn't go out of place I would be great.

Can't really say i've noticed any more female attention towards me, but then again it is kinda hard when the girl you're engaged to has a really jealous side
But the thing I have noticed is my vertical has gone up about a foot, i'm fairly short at 5'8 but for the first time in my life i'm able to actually dunk a basketball at my local courts
Not to mention my annual physical last week, my doctor didn't even recognize me, and actually asked me for nutritional advice on how I did it.

i get up 30 mins before i leave for work and have breakfast, instead of 5 mins before i leave for work and pick something up to eat on the way.
I go to bed at 12-2am instead of 2-4am
which means i sleep till 10-11am at the weekend instead of 3-6pm
I have something specific to look forward to (ie, not being fat), rather than just going by day to day.
