Question Too much cardio?

A question that has been bothering me for quite some time now...what is too much when it comes to cardio-exercise?

At present I'm doing 3 dedicated cardio-ex. a week (mostly cycling), + I walk to and from my gym (1 hour each direction). Other than this I hit the weights 2 or 3 times a week (+ I walk to and from the gym).

Would it be too much if I was to add, let's say 20-30 minutes of cardio, to my weightlifting days? I will probably use this time on some other equipment i.e. the Stairmaster or rowing machine so not to take the fun out of the bike.

Any thoughts about this?

Walking is a perfect warm up. I would cardio only 15-20 on weightlifting days but make it high intensity...

Fair enough. It was something like that I had in mind. This means 2 or 3 HIT cardios a week + my 3 hours of "regular" cardio (where I'm at 70-80% of MHR for about 60 minutes)....is this overdoing it? I don't want to risk burning out in a week or two...

Of course I'll have to listen to my body all the time - but is this a workload that's lining me up for trouble?

Everyone is different. I do cardio 5-6 times a week, 30-60 minutes a day. I lift weights 5 times/week. If you're trying to shed the fat, then I honestly don't think there is such a thing as too much cardio. When I was in the military, we ran all the time. I was ripped and strong! Different things for different people though. If what you're doing is helping you achieve your goal, then stick with it.
