Default shoulder surgery

Hi everyone,
I am new to the forums here, found this site in late January and am glad I did. John, your story is great and is a great motivator, thanks for the site.
I had shoulder surgery 12 weeks ago, had a decompression of the bone in my right shoulder due to tendinitis. Recovery has been slow as I just got off 5 days of oral cortisone and 5 days of anti-inflammatories.
I was hoping to be farther along in rehab than I am now and the delay in working out is killing me. I have had a hard time keeping motivated in doing the right things as I get through this. I have never had a recovery period from surgery before and I find it is a daily battle to stay motivated. Without being able to lift weights, I hae lost all muscle tone in my arms.
Anybody else had this surgery before?
How does everyone stay motivated if they are recovering from surgery?
Thanks
