Default where to measure

Hi guys. I'm going to measure myself to keep track of my progress, but I'm not sure which sites to use to accurately gauge my progress. For example, should one's chest be measured across the widest point (probably underneath the arms) or right across the nipples? Do you measure your waist at your navel (making waist size = pant size) or at the smallest point? Should your arms be flexed or unflexed? I tried looking online but I found a ton of conflicting information.

Thanks!

Just measure where you think is the best (usually the widest area of the region you are measuring), and always measure in the same place so you can guage your progress over time.
