OT - Easy way to Donate to Tsunami Disaster Relief
Mods - if you must move or delete so be it - but boards like this can really help motivate people, and I think this is a very worthy cause.
For everybody w/ an Amazon account here is a very easy way to donate to the Red Cross disaster relief efforts.

Bless you all.
FYI, as of 5:45 PST on Wednesday totals are:
Total Collected: $3,083,364.68

I'll be mentioning this in tomorrow's daily update with a link. The loss is almost incomprehensible.

If you donate through the American Red Cross, over 60% of the money raised will never reach the victims. They will use some for overhead, put a lot of it away for future disasters, and in the end not alot will end up over there. It is alot more worthwhile to donate through the Thai Red Cross to make sure all your money gets there.

I agree, but that doesn't mean donating to the red cross is a bad idea, the money put away for "future disasters" go to people in just as dire of straits, but maybe that didn't get enough publicity to get a huge public outpouring of support.
This tragedy is unbelievable though. The suffering there is just BEGINNING, so please contribute!

Here is a list of several aid groups accepting donations for earthquake/tsunami relief. My donation went to Doctors Without Borders because now the spread of disease will be rampant.

Jump on that Amazon page and look at those numbers (yellow/brown box, on the right under the "Pay Now" button). Now click "refresh" a few times.
How come the numbers (money and donations) keeps changing so much? Up AND down, and not just a few bucks but by a lot. It was 78739, I hit refresh and it said like 75000, then immediately hit refresh and it was like 79000. The amount donated was doing the same thing.
I guess people are taking their donations back? Or maybe someone just doesn't know how to write code?
